Sorry I am having a lot of difficulty following your tutorial. I followed your every step but did not get the same results. The Geo Nodes section seems to be out of focus all the time and it is hard to determine what values you are using. Explaining which Geo Node you are going to use and why would help immensely for beginners like me.

Hey there! Sorry about that. Is there a particular part of the tutorial that’s causing confusion for you?

@@KenanProffitt I will let you know once I tried to follow the tutorials. Thanks.

Pls can you tell me how the cylinders on the donut can be different colors?

The shader for the sprinkles is utilizing a random value on the hue saturation and value :)

I am having some difficulty following your tutorial because you have not specified what units you are using. I loaded the file you provided and its units is set to Imperial and using the values you suggest makes weird things happen. The render is set to cycles, I only have Eevee.

Hey Alfred, sorry about those issues. If you shoot me an email I’d be happy to help walk you through some of these.

@@KenanProffitt Thank you for replying. I am going to try again from the beginning and see if it was something I overlooked. I hate to give up. I have difficulty with Geo Nodes until I discover how to determine what Geo Node will do the action I want to execute. e.g. I had quite a challenge to find out how to do an 'Inset' using Geo Nodes, but after a few tutorials I did discover how to do it because I understood each Geo Node was chosen and why. As far as the Scene settings I have set it up to Metric. Just to let you know, I am retired and I do Blender just as a hobby strictly for pleasure.🙂

no 🤦♂️; booleans rn are not good practice in GN. How is this a beginner's tutorial? You should be teaching how things work and explaining it more. If it's not for beginners, then you don't have to explain as much and could be more high level, but this effect isn't really that complex etc. to warrant an advanced / intermediate tutorial. And I don't think the tutorial that is just "add this, this, and this node" appeals to anyone (not that yours is all like that, but kinda is a bit.). I think you lost both audiences 😅. This would be really hard for a beginner and be kinda boring for more advanced GN. Maybe some people 🤷♂️, who like to figure things out why themselves. Keep trying, I guess. I like how you used the normal for the offset. It shows you know what you are doing a bit more than the other KZbin tutorialists. it bugs me so much when they keep subtracting 0.5 when they could just uncheck "normlize" on the noise 😫.

Thanks for your thoughts! I like booleans 😉

@@KenanProffitt you probably have a very good computer (or with very little geometry). i once saw someone who had a GN boolean workflow and it was because they had a very good computer. anyway, enjoy.

Hi, no hate for this video, but I think you stole one of my product ideas. I also made a Donut generator like this around 3 months ago, and published it on Blender market. you can check out if you want. What I want to say is that it's not cool to steal ideas from others man.. And if you did so, you could credit me first at least.

@@KenanProffitt That's why I send you my real nickname. Before posting a thing on youtube, try to be at least different than others. Search up if others posted the same idea before, and credit them for their idea... But fine, i don't think it's a problem. Keep making content as always, but be aware of other ideas that others realized.
