I found that with the Big Block tire my bike makes more miles per liter of gasoline, I guess it is because there is less points of friction. For me, what I save in gasoline with this tire is enough to compensate the longevity issue. Great reviews!

where is your follow up on the Kenda Big Block, I just spooned one on my tenere 700, $80 in todays world was amazing, tire looks very sexy, seems like a good soft compound and aggressive thread pattern, seems like it could be a great tire, but how long will it last? maybe on a tenere with the smooth power delivery it will be ok, if wet road performance is ok and gets $3500mi, it will be my go to tire

Yeah I got so busy never did the video, but I will say that I got good milage out of them, around 3k + for a cheap tire that's good but I recommend the newer one which I think is the only one out there now so you should be good. Yes they are a sexy tire and I do love the Kenda tires.

I got somewhere near 15k on my k270 rear, more on the front. Was surprised. Bought them again.

the K270 is a beast of a tire, so far the big block is doing OK but won't be getting your mileage for sure!

I have not done it yet, I just changed that tire right as the COVID-19 hit and need to make it, that tire held up great on the 690R

Plus, the more I research this set - the front is more praised than the rear and I see more use the front with a different rear tire..

Mixed feelings is my best description about Kenda Big Block tyres. I was planning an adventure trip on my KTM 1190 Adventurer which would have seen me doing about 5000km. I had wanted to fit the Mitas E07+, but since the dealers were out of stock, I was talked into buying a set of Big Blocks with the promise that it should last to approx 6000km with a full payload of about 200kg. The only place the Kenda's stood out was during knee deep water crossings with baby heads lining the bottom. Other than that, nada. My bike lost grip on a slippery slope lined with golfball size rocks where my fellow KTM rider with Mitas rubber went through. My wife broke her leg and that was the end of our trip. Had her to a hospital, then to the local airport to get her back home. I headed back home the short way on a mix of asphalt and gravel. On tar I was pleasantly surprised with cornering ability, albeit not as tacky as Pirelli Scorpions I had on before the Kenda. It is always difficult to rate two brands/types of tyres on different gravel surfaces, but I had the feeling that I could reach a higher and more stable speed on the Scorpion rear and TKC80 front than on the Kenda's. The biggest disappointment is that I had not even managed to reach 3800km, and the Big Blocks are totally worn down. I may add that since I knew that I was limited with wear, I was extra careful in accelerating and stopping to preserve the grip.

It seems a common trend that the rear does not last long. Unacceptable and now not on my 'buy' list.

700 to 1000 mile, we should know how she gonna be at that point. I know that tire so disappointed you and I just have to give it a second chance! the tire is at 200miles now so little ways to go. Thanks for the view

never said anything about catastrophic failure, there are 2 compounds to this tire. The old one sucks the new is pretty good. But never said catastrophic failure

@@690ADV thats true you didnt say that. Just got a set so I'll keep an eye on them. Lots of rock and sand here in the high desert. So far (about 300 miles) they show only slight wear. Performance is excellent for the price.
