If this was today would you have done 12" in back? Or is the 10 working good?
@mikey.mike.17 күн бұрын
I probably would try out the 12 inch. Just hate that you can't go as wide

Can i suggest a drop center tool for mounting the tires? Its surprisingly easy to do with drop center tools.

How has the honda navi held up the whole time you’ve owned it?
@mikey.mike. Жыл бұрын
No complaints on quality despite the cheap price. It's held up nicely, and is stored outside covered. I have not had any issues mechanically or cosmetically to date.

Did you have to modify the break line mount?
@mikey.mike.3 ай бұрын
I didn't have to, but some people end up bending the braking link or removing it. I chose not to, but it's really close to the tire. It could rub depending on weight

I love this tire on my navi . I actually bought a few just in case they are not available which happens with these tires . Buy a tire swap tool and do it to it !

It's a sweet setup. Kinda wish the Navi came with 12 inch rears though

Thanks so much for the video. I wind up getting them. How PSI are you using on the rear tire?
@mikey.mike.7 ай бұрын
Appreciate you viewing! I'm currently running 30psi on the rear tire.

since the front is out of stock, do you think this could be a good sub? Kenda K413 Front/Rear Motorcycle Bias Tire - 120/70R12 51J
@mikey.mike. Жыл бұрын
I think it may be too wide. I probably have less than half on inch of clearance from the shock boot. Any wider and it may rub.
@libbiemoore291Ай бұрын
I just ordered the wider tires from Amazon, but do I need to buy new inner tubes or will the originals fit? I know next to nothing about tires, so any advice is really appreciated. My Navi has a little over 1,000 miles on it. Thank you!
@mikey.mike.Ай бұрын
No tubes required. The navi uses tubeless tires, so you're all set. good luck with your navi build! Ride safe!

Hi great videos.. would you happen to know the recommended tire pressure for the Honda Navi? Thanks
@mikey.mike.8 ай бұрын
Appreciate it! According to the service manual Cold tire pressure for the front should be 22psi and 33psi for the rear. However, I'm not sure if that'll relate to any tires outside of the stock tires it comes with.

Do you need TUBES for these?
@mikey.mike.28 күн бұрын
No tubes needed for these. They are tubeless tires.

Hey Mikey, how was clearance with the back brake and tire. Typically I hear people need to pull it away from the tire? Was that the case? Any trick to bending if you did do it?
@mikey.mike. Жыл бұрын
The tire probably clears the break levers by a quarter inch or so. I haven't had any issues with it rubbing so far. However, I do check the psi often to ensure it doesn't widen due to a low psi. Be cautious and check on it before every ride if you go this route.

So the rear tire doesn't rub against the brake correct?
@mikey.mike. Жыл бұрын
That's correct. However, it's super close so I always take a look at it before I ride.

Howd you get it to fight. mines os too big for the tire rim
@mikey.mike. Жыл бұрын
A lot of swear words and determination 😅. It helps if you lay the tire out in the sun for a bit. The rubber softens up making it easier to work with. Use a lot of soap water. Or just plain dish soap to help slide it on the wheel. I watched this video to help me out. This video worked the best for me. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ-Yf5KNiZyYf9U

Did you gain any top speed?
@mikey.mike.9 ай бұрын
I never recorded my top speed with the stock tires. I'd imagine it would lose some speed due to the extra tire weight. Although I'm not completely sure without seeing any real data.
@simply_leonides9 ай бұрын
@mikey.mike. figured I'd ask. I know some guys are saying it does with the rear converted to a 12inch figured it might be the same if just using a bigger rear tire
@mikey.mike.9 ай бұрын
The 12 inch wheel covers more distance when rotating than 10in wheel. To my knowledge that's why the 12 inch has a higher top speed.
