SMG kept tabs on AM's run as Kendall over the years, and even sent flowers to AM because SMG thought she was great in the role

When Daniella Westbrook was let go as Samantha "Sam" Mitchell on Eastenders due to her problems, ie drinking drugs, and sadly she was raped she was too much to handle. Then when she was replaced by Kim Medcalfe, Daniella sued the producers. I told US Soap Fans, how the UK doesn't tolerate any bad behavior they will fire, threaten, or suspend them if need be.

The current Kendall is fine, but for my money Sarah Michelle Gellar will always be THE Kendall. I'll never forget when she came on that show for the first time. She stole scenes from Susan Lucci, and that's hard to do

@@Elizabeth-XO Lucci did not have Gellar fired. Her exit had already been scripted prior to her Emmy victory. If you're referring to what Kathy Griffin uttered at the 2014 Daytime Emmys, you ought to know that Griffin is a comic, therefore take what she utters with a grain of salt, and she even said "none of this can be confirmed", i.e. Gellar's claim that Lucci had her terminated after the Emmy win. Gellar even admitted she only had two days left to tape. By that point, the scripts already had been prepared, hence there's no conceivable possibility Lucci orchestrated an ouster when that was in the cards for months, considering Gellar herself claimed she'd wanted to pursue other projects for several months

I love that Kendall was so like Erica that’s why they couldn’t get along. When Erica was a teenager she was a hell raiser and so was Kendall. It’s great that they finally got along over the years just wish Mona could have seen it.

Don't forget the Librarian was played by UK actor anthony head who also gained iconic status as one half of the coffee duo for taster's choice/nescafe. His co star Sharon Maughan recently finished a stint on Emmerdale (that Jenna Louise Coleman) was on before doing victoria. She played a lady named Helen who wanted to make peace with her daughter ruby before dying, but ruby's husband caleb prevented it. He stole her insurance inheritance of $100.000.00 but in typical soap fashion she found out. My cousins were like Kendall, very cruel to me but now I know why. I had my "real" father, some didn't, I was my grandmother's favorite, and they felt I robbed them of what was supposed to be theirs.

Both are wonderful actresses! SMG was already scheduled to leave. The “feud” was press. SMG went on to do really good things.

I believe SMG has also said multiple times that the rumours of a feud between herself and Lucci were blown out of proportion.

@@Auroraila Yes, she did say it was blown out of proportion. As though it was like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. However, she did say there was some issues she and Susan had. SMG said, you're not going to get along with all your co-workers but she was young and she worked on doing better. Especially with Buffy, many people spoke highly of her and how she made sure to take care of them, even extras or guest stars. She's not just a good actress but a good person too.

exactly. It's rare for a soap opera, even back in the 1990s when they were great, to ace a rewrite but the team of Behr/Nixon/McTavish did an amazing job with Kendall's introduction from beginning, middle and then this conclusion.

yep! Gellar brought out the best in Kendall's vindictive side....Alicia did terrific work in adding those additional layers to Kendall, from the scheming daughter of Diva Kane to a successful businesswoman at Fusion to a devoted sister and daughter to both Erica and Bianca, loving wife to Zach and amazing mother to Spike and Ian.

Kendall and Greenlee were hanging out in a bar, plotting to create Fusion to give Enchantment competition, and Del was there too. They briefly talked, and it was revealed that their relationship just ran its course after moving to Florida.

She remembered Del. Their was even a scene where Dixie was presumed dead and to get in Palmers good graces she brought over some photos of Dixie that Del had left behind from when they lived together in Florida.

If I recall correctly, Susan was jealous of Sarah because Sarah got so much more screen time than Susan did. And I agree; Alicia Minshew does a decent job as Kendall, but she's second to Sarah's performance. (I haven't seen the show myself, but I've seen clips on this site.)

Nintendoman01 I mean she was right to be jealous. Sarah Michelle has vastly out matched her in popularity. 90% of Susan's career was the exact same roll shes only been in 30 productions by this point. Sarah has had over 50 different rolls with buffy being the longest and she is less than half Susan's age.

LOL Susan jealous of Sarah? Spare me. Lucci was a household name well before SMG's arrival and Sarah's reputation on acting sets isn't all that pristine. In no way did her screen time monumentally eclipse Lucci's...each had roughly equal amounts in the whole Kendall is Erica's daughter story The issue is Sarah was unprofessional onset...she constantly clung onto Lucci and Susan insisted they keep things professional. I'm still unsure why people assume she was at fault for the notorious Lucci-Gellar feud

cajayson8301 I don’t get it, either. People have asked her about it, and she’s not even sure how the rumors started. I can’t see her being jealous or mean. Especially when literally everyone else that has worked with her always talks about how sweet and kind she is.

I read that Susan Lucci was jealous of SMG for winning an Emmy right away and hated her, and that's why they had Sarah leave. Then one night I turn on the tv and I'm like why is Kendall blonde and roaming a cemetery with a stake in hand like the BTVS movie? I'm glad though because Buffy was one of my favorite shows. Way better than the movie.

Erica could have said "I was so traumatized by what happened to me and nobody talked about it back in the day. When I found out who you were it bought back alot of heartbreaking memories. I tried to move on and you came into the picture and it bought back horrific memories. Remember in Petals On The Wind, Corrine apologized on the night of the Foxworth Hall Ball. Yet until the day she died, she didn't fully understand the horror she put her kids through and only after she died did both chris and cathy forgive.

Hey! And thanks! While I have no first hand knowledge of when this episode aired, all of the sources I've accessed list this episode as happening on Monday, July 3, 1995. However, the episode right before this one where Erica reads Kendall's letter and Kendall is packing to leave, was aired Friday, June 30, 1995. Given that some geographical areas air episodes earlier than others, perhaps this episode aired early for you? :)

Kendall and Carly's storylines coming on to AMC and GH were very similar, and they were both raised in Florida, so it would be believable if they knew each other.

It is so disingenious how people try to creaate nasty things about these actresses relationships. Susan Lucci has always bee kind and professioonalask her co workers, ask the producers and ask the cast members. She chose family over perhaps some career opportunities. SMG didnt have a great reputation on the sets not just AMC. Her mother also waas a stage mother who was know to cause problems and gossip. Both Lucci and Gellar were amazing actresses who played well off each other. SMG did not steal any scenes likewise for lucci becuse they were professionls andd their interraction was dynamite. For good ness sakes people you cannot have two divas constantly duelling it out that would be boring and histronics. They played off each other so well. Yes, Lucci is known for chewing on the scenery but she is underrated. She knows how to give to her fellowactors. Look at her in Devious Maids. She played a far more goody two shoe role and understated. She played so well off of the other characters/actors. That is a good and giving actor. Both Lucci and Gellar deserve more success. Even though Lucci is very old now she could still play some singificant roles though I rather see her in comedy. Wonderful actress. Ironically both Gellar andLucci tended to play over the top divas /witches with capital Bs when younger on AMC. But Lucci showed she had more range as she matured. SMG hasnt really had the dramatic rolesbut still hasmatured in her characters and acting. Fact isthere should be no jealousy for their success at the time was because they did so well playing off each other.

really? She became real famous off this show and even won an Emmy in 1995 for it. Buffy producers liked her on this show and brought her in to audition and the rest is history

@starrynightz I don't think this was her natural hair color. It looks auburn, almost red here. Notice in the early days of Kendall, Erica and Kendall's hair color always matched! They started out with a light brown, which I think is SMG's natural color, then went very dark, then the reddish.
