It's ironic how Roman was pushing his siblings to choose Mecken but then Mecken mocked him and ignored him. So, he was "simping" to Mecken for nothing. And Roman made a mistake to say the word "Fuck off" in front of the new President.

I think because Mencken is looking like he’s the next president he isn’t worried about the Roy’s. He has busier things to do.

I do not think anyone would've randomly entered that conversation like that if Logan was still there talking with the next President... lol just shows how rudderless they are now. One bad look from Logan would've scrambled all of them away.

What was brilliant about this scene was that it was written/shot from Mencken's POV. As repugnant a character he is himself, they put you in his position of being inundated with all the relentless, clumsy pitching to show you how bumbling the Roy kids are. How idiotic they come across to an actual politician.

Funny how Shiv warned Ken and Rom that Mencken was probably lying about killing the deal during "America Decides". This scene was basically the proof 😂 Not to mention the irony behind Ken poking fun at Shiv's lack of experience in Waystar (which is true) while him and Roman clearly have no experience in politics. I guess he couldn't out-dance Pinky after all 😅

In the end of the day, they know nothing about real world. Even as political consultant, Shiv was totally suck at her job, she couldn't even bring her 2 candidates (her first candidate and Gil) to be the president. She was even so naive, immediately switching to Gil just because Nate offered her, quitting her job as Political Consultant because Logan offered her. And in the company, she's never working and thinking that she can get the CEO position because her daddy told her to. Same happen with Roman and Kendall, even when they're stay longer in the company than Shiv, they both are never working. They mostly acting arrogance and full of pride. Once Logan died, they become nothing, they become lost puppies who have no direction of what to do.
