@@mikenormandy9250 I agree. You also have to think that it's NOT a reason to stay together or get married just because you have a kid. If your miserable, it only makes things worse. I knew I would never get married to my daughter's father, and married my son's father after 6 years. We are still in love, and he has adopted my daughter, and I wouldn't ever change having her,. so I'm glad I waited. Just because you don't love a person doesn't mean you can't love your child.

Lol I think it's because that's just really who she was around them and that's genuinely how they remember her. They probably never would've imagined her doing something like that so it's probably hard to register that in their minds. And that was after she had killed herself so of course most people were remembering her fondly. If I found out that my mom, the sweetest most humble person I know, was planning a murder for example, I would also be thinking the same as them, that's she was "kind and compassionate" because that's how I know her and the whole murder thing wouldn't even be able to register in my mind because never in a million years would I imagine she would do something like that, so I get where they're coming from. And lol all you people talking about race are delusional. Those are her FRIENDS and FAMILY of course they're being apologetic, it's not because of her race. I'm sure strangers weren't as forgiving

It sounds like she is just one of those people who reflect what she thinks others want her to be.... it’s a really common thing, ESPECIALLY among women, and I’ve fallen for it plenty of times myself. I’ve had friends for years who I later found out I didn’t really know at all! It turns out, we had so much in common and I thought that they were so kind merely because they were reflecting my personality back at me and acting how they thought I would like them to be. This certainly could be one of those cases. And perhaps this lady DID have compassion for animals, just not for people!!! Hell, that’s common too!

I think because she killed herself (and maybe was an attractive young woman? idk) her former colleagues aren't acknowledging who she really was, someone who was an active participant in a double murder plot. It was a bit of the same situation when a local teacher (22 year old, young, attractive) repeatedly slept with a 14 year old middle school student in my state. Then he killed himself in prison. The whole situation seems tragic as opposed to... he is just a horrible person (which he was. Lots of SA to a child)

Honestly, I don’t feel like Valerie was pressured into it. Maybe she was influenced by Leon, and was “corrupted” in a sense, to view it as something she could do, but I do think the decision to put a hit on Mac was HER decision, and hers alone. I think she saw an opportunity for revenge, and jumped on it. I don’t think she would have done it on her own, but I don’t think she could let the opportunity slide.
@elisejessica267

BeeziBree Totally agree with your comment. While I do feel that she would have never tried to kill Mac on her own if she had never met Leon, she is still 100% responsible for her actions. Sure, the pressure of an abusive significant other (we can only assume that Leon was abusive towards Valorie as well, given his track record) can be astronomical and can lead people to do things they wouldn’t otherwise do, there is still no excuse, ESPECIALLY for murder. She was an adult who was fully able to make her own choices, regardless of any abuse that had been taking place. She was actively complicit in detailing how she wanted her ex husband killed, the man who was her daughter’s father. Abuse doesn’t MAKE you do that, that’s your own decision by your own free will. Any normal decent person would have IMMEDIATELY gone to the police after their husband/significant other proposed the idea of murdering your exes, not go along with it and play an active role in it. Abuse does not turn you into a helpless murderer with no control of your own actions. You always have a choice. Always.
@TheBweebwee
@TheBweebwee 4 жыл бұрын
Brittany the fact that the murder for hire didn’t initially involve Mac says everything. The fact that she came in later with the idea that if this is happening, let’s add one more person to it, speaks volumes. I could absolutely understand that if she were abused, she would be scared and not say anything about it, but she initially WASNT involved, and didn’t NEED to be.

I'm sorry Valerie is gone, especially for her daughter's sake, but I really think the fact that she set a plan in motion to have her ex murdered AND knew her boyfriend was also hiring the same guy to kill his girlfriend and did nothing to stop it says a whole lot about how "compassionate" she really was.

Are people not allowed to mourn the loss of their friend while not condoning their actions? What's with this black and white thinking? Humans are complex and our emotions are no exception. They're probably feeling a broad range of emotions over this, and even though Valerie ended up doing some terrible things, people should be allowed to feel things so that they can heal and move on without being criticized for it. Their emotional response isn't co-signing what she did
