I do agree. I don't know her morales or how involved she was, but my ex husband cheated on me with quite a few women before I figured out what was going on. They were mostly work people who had met me and my very young kids. I struggled with it for awhile, but eventually realized that if he had lied to me, he had likely also lied to them. Who knows what he told them about me…. How he painted our situation. I was gullible and believed him. Maybe they did too. 🤷‍♀️ In whatever he told them. They could have also just not cared about hurting me. But… I let that go. I couldn’t know. He was the one who made a promise to me, not these women. But yah…. It’s tough to hear about women doing stuff like this. I was definitely disillusioned. And she could be a horrible person, or also just very misled by a chronic liar. I’m open to either possibility. I am very very glad they caught him!

No, true genuine love doesn’t ever devolve into this. David is a great example of what placing yourself on a pedestal is, and what being narcissistic is like. Dude was more concerned of his image and faux pain than his actual children. Dude is a monster. Cares abt no one but himself yes but loving yourself isn’t what caused this. He was like this before he ever “loved himself” it started in childhood. I agree with your statement abt his parents.

@@0h_hi_mark Cut the cord, yes. Telling the wife sounds like a good idea that might of caused Belinda to leave, but somehow I kind of doubt knowing would have resulted in leaving. It sounds like she already knew he was cheating, and either too beaten down emotionally, or too afraid physically, to do anything about it. Heather getting a divorce begged the question, was she called again at the second trial? And did her testimoney differ from the first? The most tragic part is even with her own loving family, Belinda felt of no worth, felt trapped, and bringing another child into the family. So sad her son stands by his bully (and killer) father. So sad.

When it happened there was word that she had her telephone in her hand when she passed and the last digits dialed spelled out DAV but that’s never been confirmed by anyone. It really rocked the entire community and I’ll never forget the morning my mother found out. Their entire school was devastated and her grave site is still visited by people often. She’s buried right behind the neighborhood I grew up in off of a road called Avenue D (it’s on a side road off of the main road which is Avenue D). When she left she contacted me after a couple weeks and said she would be willing to work things out if I sold the house and moved back to her city. I said nope. The house itself was half mine and half my sister's after our dad died and was that way before I ever met her. So she had no claim on the house because it was pre marital. He obviously didn’t want a daughter. This is a man who doesn’t respect women, period. Why would someone like that want a little girl. I think he specifically murdered his wife while she was still pregnant so the daughter would die too. He honestly should have been charged for murder of his daughter too. The unborn baby was due in like a week. The baby was totally viable and would have been fully developed when mom was killed. I think the ho Heather learned what kind of man she really married. Blinders came off and she found that he was a POS to women in general which likely included her.

The extra time where he just by chance was seen by a student is coincidental yet gave him time to dispose of the shotgun.

Here's a point to consider: the day Belinda was murdered, wasn't Evan so ill he had to leave preschool? And yet, apparently, his dad thought it was a good idea to take this really sick kid to the park and on errands. Yes, David was supposedly trying to give Belinda a chance to rest, but given his lack of patience, you'd think he'd rather tell Evan to play quietly in his room, rather than go on an outing with a kid who is probably exhausted and miserable. Almost as if he wanted to ensure Evan didn't stumble across anything while David was out trying to build an alibi.

In the surveillance video he’s not even carrying him or pushing him in the cart, he’s dragging him forward. There’s no way this feverish child had energy for parks, errands, and then to ride his bike when he got home. If you want to do your wife a favor, take care of her sick child in bed. Power, control and/or money. Money is the easy one - they don't want their ex-spouse to get ANYTHING from them. Even if alimony wouldn't' be an issue, there's still the expense of lawyers. Power and control go hand in hand - they get to control the narrative. A dead ex-spouse can't tell the truth about how abusive and crappy they were. A dead ex-spouse can't keep them from their children. People who choose murder over divorce are not nice people. Edited to add - they also don't believe they'd get caught. That feeling of invulnerability is also a factor.

I personally don’t believe that was the motive. I don’t think it was planned. It seems a bit too slapdash. His alibi is all over the place: “we went here but then I changed my mind and he was thirsty so we went to Walmart but I changed my mind again and took my thirsty kid to a hardware store”? 🤔 I think he just lost it. He was pissed off that he had to answer the phone because she wouldn’t stop calling. Then he was pissed off that she wanted him to pick up the kid from daycare. Obviously, he then needed to care for the kid cos she had a work meeting. This whole time, he didn’t want to leave his sanctuary: his workplace where he could see Heather all day 😒 I think when he has absolutely no choice, he came home furious. She got home and went to the closet, probably as they’re arguing, and when she bent down he shot her in fury. To me, that would explain why he didn’t think about the dog or the way the house should look in a burglary etc. The dog is a big one lol. Anyone with a protective dog would know right away to put the dog somewhere else otherwise it wouldn’t make sense how an intruder got in. It sounds like panic to me. He also wouldn’t have brought his son along if it were planned - not cos he cares about his psyche but because kids have big mouths and he might see something and tell the cops. This man was abusive and controlling, with a rage problem. He was being “tied down” again because of the new baby and he knew he would be needed more. Not ideal when you want to be with someone else. He wouldn’t want to LEAVE her, because his parents like her and he’d look like a dick for abandoning her. The resentment and rage issues bubbled over imo 🤔

Both him and Heather make me sick. I hope she feels really "special" and important that her role in David's life helped to lead him to murdering his pregnant wife, his son's mother. He should never be allowed to walk free. Ever. It's clear he didn't want to deal with a divorce or child support, it was easier to kill his wife so he and his mistress could raise their son, and what a coward they both are.

I never doubted his guilt. My heart breaks for their son, Evan who’s been manipulated by his father and stepmother his entire life and denied a true mother’s love because of a selfish, selfish man!

I hope that man never gets out of prison. And shame on the other Mrs. Temple for lying during the trial. It’s so sad that Evan probably has no memories of what a loving mother he had. Even more sad that he wasn’t being raised by Belinda’s family. It breaks my heart that he can’t see how evil his father is. I wish there would be changes made to child custody in these type cases.

I teared up a bit listening to Belinda’s family member calling David despicable. Belinda and Erin deserved so much better out of life and it’s clear that they’ll continue to be deeply missed by many. It makes me sad that her son never got to know her and instead, grew up with that despicable man. I believe David did it. Kendall, I love when your pets make an appearance. Your cat is too cute! Their presence is so calming.

My father grew up with David and his family, David was a family friend for a while then all of a sudden stopped showing up and then when I was older I found out that he did this. She was extremely sweet and caring. He lived in my childhood neighborhood for years until he finally got arrested.

This case is truly heartbreaking! When I think about her, she was pregnant, a mother, a loved beautiful woman, but her life wasted for nothing, makes so very sad. And I still can’t get my head around that woman “ Heather” who continued with him, married him regardless of what happened, omg! However, I’m not really surprised that his son supported his father, first when the murder happened he was very young, then he was raised up by his father and it’s obvious that he was able to convince his son of his innocence. Feel sorry for Belinda’s family, they will live with this pain forever.

Isolation is a HUGE sign of abuse. I feel so bad for her family especially! 😭 I’ve been in a very abusive relationship before. He would give me the silent treatment and he got physical with me too. I feel so bad that some don’t make it out alive. 😢 I hope kids started learning the warning signs of abuse.

What confuses me is I thought she had picked him up from daycare and he met them at the house after. Which would mean that Evan was already in the house as well as Belinda? This part confuses me. Did he put Evan in the car then go back in and do it?
