Wow ! I met all 5 of these criteria before I went ketovore, and within 9 months I didn't have any of them ! Now at 15 months ketovore, I am down 130 lbs, have none of these symptoms, and still am satisfied with one meal per day.

Been on this journey since February 12th when I first discovered Dr. Berry and his wife Neisha. Threw the breads, starch, carbs away...replaced with beef, butter, bacon and eggs. Fasting for 16-18 hours...lost 35 lbs/4" in circumference. Not bad for a 60 yr old kid that abused himself with way too much of ALL the wrong foods for 5 decades. Oh, BTW...type 2 diabetes is not a problem anymore since this new lifestyle was adopted. It works folks, and don't let the naysayers tell you any different. Dr Berry is in the life-saving business.

I lost over 30 lbs. in the first 26 days and it just keeps coming off. I feel better, I am not just mindless eating anymore and I only eat 1-2x a day when my body is hungry, not my mind! @@vickymena5448 I'll have a salad once in a while. Broccoli, asparagus, green beans and ⁰ also treat myself to Thai food about once a month with no rice. I eat a lot of wrights bacon. Make sure it has no sugar. Hotdogs. Most Hotdogs have carbs I always get angus ball park they have 2 carbs each. I eat hotdogs when I'm hungry and in a hurry. Hamburger, steaks, roast, pork chops. I refuse to eat organ meat. I like seafood, but not really fish. I will eat tuna and some salmon. I usually run into carbs when I eat out. It's expensive to eat two steaks so I'll eat some veggies then. I eat no wheat products and no sugar. I just can't eat sugar and not crave it. I can now have sprite zero once in a while. It doesn't affect my blood sugar, but at first anything sweet made me crave sugat. It took 5 months to finally whip that beast of a craving. I drive a lot so I'll eat nuts and beef jerky when I'm bored. I buy small bag of pistachios so I don't gorge myself. I had to change my shopping habits so I avoided the things I craved. It was hard driving by Dolly General and not stop and get a pecan cluster. But I finally arrived at a time where I don't mind the chips at a mexican restaurant or bread at steak house. It's liberating and took about 5 months but I'm there. The onlybthink I haven't given up is my Marzetti's french dressing an blue cheese. I use it sparingly and stir it up good so the salad is blended.

@@aspinallsandy4810 Sparkling water/seltzer/club soda helped me eat mostly meat. If you are constipated on carnivore, you most likely are not drinking enough water and are eating your meat too lean. Fat in the meat is literally a lubricant for your bowels -- you need it, but our subconscious remembers the misinformation that fat is bad for us. I have also never had any food sensitivities, and the actual amount of spices is so small that I don't worry about heavily spicing my meat. That avoids the feeling like I have no variety when 90% of my meals include some cut of beef -- I create variety with spices.

in 2014 a blood test show my fasting insulin was 21mIU/L where it should be 0.2 to 10. I weighed about 110kg. then I gained weight by 2019 up to 120kg, and then stop all achohol, cut all sugar. no rice, no pasta, no porradge, no bread. Red meat, eggs, some times peanuts. avo and some fruit from time to time. I fasted 16hrs a day for 4 months. I weight came down to 100kg by 2022. Then I did the test again, my fasting insulin was down to 15. That was a fantastic improvement. Weightlost was not just about my figure but a change in lifestyle and health. Drinking was a good way to let go of stress. but what i did was to stop the drinking and the money I saved on that, I used it for every weekend massage at the spa, that was also good to let go of stress. But 16hr Fasting, no sugar, very little carbs, more water. going strong with meat and eggs did help a lot, but its a long term lifestyle change not something you can quickly do for a week.

Great call on Dr’s letting this condition slip by, I noticed myself that most doctors don’t even acknowledge Metabolic Sndrome. The carnivore diet corrected my metabolic syndrome within weeks. I discovered there is also a strong correlation between Metabolic Syndrome and Gout, (I suffered from Gout almost daily for years) so I started taking Berberine, that was the last time I had a Gout attack. I was over 400 pounds at the time and even though my blood sugar was balanced on carnivore I figured I must still be having horrible insulin reactions to the meat I was eating, it worked…not one Gout attack since.

Dr. Berry, I have been watching your videos for a long time, I am obese and have all of the symptoms you mention here. I was diagnosed with Viral Cardiomyopathy after having covid in 2020, and struggled with loss of energy etc, so I got even heavier. I was on the keto diet for over a year with some success, but then was tested for and found out I was positive for multiple autoimmune syndrome. I want to thank you for your educational videos delivered with such empathy! I am almost one month carnivore, still eating more of a variety of meat and some (less and less) dairy. Maybe it shouldn’t take getting so sick and being so overweight to follow such sage advice, but for me it took seeing such a change in Larry and Cassie from Carnivore Quest, along with your advice to finally get me to go for it. I am seeing major health gains (and weight loss) already! My blood sugar is better, I am able to lower my insulin, and I have zero cravings! My first really provable gain I can show my doctor is my blood pressure is 122/47! I haven’t had a “within normal range” reading since 2007! Even with meds! Soon I will be able to lower my blood pressure meds, and I am guessing go off them altogether! Thankfully my nephrologist (yes, I have kidney disease as well) is pro the ketogenic diet for me. I’m not sure what he would think about the carnivore diet but he was also pro my no longer eating high oxalate foods, so, once he sees my health improvements I think he will be on board. Sadly even though I have been asking my doctors for more extensive/autoimmune disease testing, my new nephrologist was the first doctor to test me!?! Anyway back to my point, thank you, your videos are unbelievably helpful, even if it takes some of us longer to come around, I know how many people are being helped by you!

I meet almost all of these criteria. I've been dealing with migraines for over a year now. They came out of nowhere and have been relentless pretty much every day and if I don't eat within a certain amount of time I get extremely blurred vision and brain fog. I also wake up feeling so hungry that I could throw up in the morning. Wondering if this is a possibility. 🤔 Thank you Dr Berry for stepping out and speaking the truth. God bless

Thanks to low carb eating (at one time strict keto and Dr Berry!) I lost 90 lbs. I regained some weight after developing osteoarthritis in my hip and now BMI is high with other factors good. Part of the way I lost weight was by walking so the bad hip took that advantage away from me. I feel I have metabolic syndrome since I can't lose weight anymore by eating low carb. My A1C is 5.0, bg daily reading is consistently under 100 and ranges around 90-95 with levels dropping below at times. I don't eating sugars thanks to learning how to do keto. No white foods etc and no veg oils. I have good blood pressure. I've seen a doctor and was prescribed ozempic - it didn't do much but probably did drop my A1C a little. When I first did keto/low carb high fat weight just seemed to drop off and I thought I was genius, I was telling everyone how easy this was but things have changed. Now, nothing seems to budge the scale. "metabolic syndrome" - something I want to understand.

I was diagnosed in 2022 for metabolic syndrome. I’m also type 2 diabetic induced my steroids and have pcos. My insurance cancelled me during pre op. Had lips and metabolic panel lab done. A1c is 9.6. I’m trying to accept the fact I can’t get surgery right now and to find other ways to reverse or make things better. I did have creatines above 20 points so I need to make different changes asap. I’m now 31 and have a family. I m going to try this Doc.

I didn’t necessarily think this was wrong about carbs but after fasting 18/6 that has helped me lose weight and lower my blood pressure. I tend to eat only single ingredient foods which are non-processed. It’s a struggle. I love bananas and other fruits. Gotta limit them to once a day. That’s a must. With working out this is more than proven to me. This is my life now. I’m no longer the young person and I was and my eating habits need to reflect that.

I’ve been doing 24hr fasting for about three months. I’ve lost 38lbs so far. I started at a weight of 246.8 pounds. My goal is to loose about 70 lbs. I’m new to all of this but I want to learn more about a keto diet. I know there is multiple kinds of keto diets but I’m not sure what works and which one would be right for me.

So I would need to get on meds for all of them! I ask how come all the time before just months before I turn 65 everything was okay! He said that it must be inherited from my parents! I said my parents had none of those! He could not answer me! Now he is mad at me, I have to find a new doc!

I work out & I do not want to develop Alzheimer's, strokes, or any of those diseases. I take supplements, I'm working on it for real. I drink coffee, oolong tea, green tea, organic beet juice, & I never drink sodas of any kind. I don't want to become a decrepit old person, lifestyle changes are important to me. My super skinny friend is full on diabetic and I am pre diabetic and very thin. Metabolic syndrome does not only affect fat people. My blood sugar is mostly low but my ferritin is over 500 and am losing weight like crazy. Need to address B1 deficiency more and how it relates to metabolic syndrome. You can eat keto all day like me but if you are drinking tea and coffee and electros with citric acid your B1 is gonna tank or iron skyrocket if drinking and eating lots of citric acid.

After 4+ decades of being veggie you & other videos convinced me to try this diet. I am on week 6 and thou I had some improvements they seems to be wearing off. However, that is not why I'm writing. I started by eating ocean caught salmon until my body started reaking of it. I switched to beef. An at home blood test said I was allergic to eggs (which was my main protein) and chicken and ... etc. So not having other options I tried this diet. I couldn't stand the taste of steak I bought, so just to get any meat in me I bought lots of jerky. I can eat that, but it also make me reak and the smell is embarrasing & unbearble. Has anyone else had this issue? Once it's all gone I'm going back to being veggie. I glad for those of you who can eat meat & can do this. Many cannot 😞

Soooo...Dr Berry...for much of my life, I've maintained a relatively normal weight...despite having PCOS since puberty...and what I'm just recognizing as PCOS-linked gallbladder disease pretty much since my teens, as well. All these crappy things, because they've been present since my teen years, I mistakenly thought was my "normal". Well...the past 5-7 years, I've had recurring gallbladder attacks. Since March, my primary care physician discovered I was deficient in Vitamin D. We've tried several approaches, and it's STILL deficient and stagnant...primarily because of my gallbladder disease. Sunday, I went to the ER because I finally recognized--after two days--that I was in a gallbladder attack, and the ultrasound showed MANY gallstones...like strings of pearls in the ducts and gallbladder itself. No bueno!!! I'm following my ER doctor's advise and having the dadgum thing removed. There's not a "factory reset button" for the gallbladder, and while I've lived my first 65 years like this, I'm not willing to live the next 35 or 40 years going through this. Anyway...there seems to be a significant correlation between PCOS and gallbladder disease. I'd really love to hear your take on that problem...particularly before having mine removed. If there IS any hope, I want to hear it now!!! Keto helps control my weight, but it does diddly-squat for the gallbladder issues.

If no oatmeal, then what can I replace it with for my breakfast go to? I am already having a couple hard boiled eggs for protein in the mornings. What would you suggest for a balanced and nutritious breakfast. An occasional avocado as well. What and how much can I combine to balance it all out?
