Our favorites are cheese, bacon, ground beef and chicken. I am so grateful to have found keto. I started keto at my heaviest weight of 300 lbs on January 13th. I am now down to 197 lbs. I have lost 103 lbs in 10 months! I still have more to go but I feel amazing! I love this way of eating. I can easily make a keto version of something that I crave so it doesn't seem difficult to me. My hubby has lost 40 lbs and is at his goal weight. We will never eat the SAD diet again. Thank you for all that you do!

Another fast cabbage dish: Fry bacon, crumble it and put aside. Chop up cabbage and fry it in the bacon grease until just wilted (still crunchy) or however you like it. Add salt and pepper and lemon juice, whatever amounts suit your fancy. All done - just put the crumbled bacon on top of each serving and eat.

But since then I'm so heavy ,which I've never been a heavy person my whole life . It's so depressing, none of my old chothes fit. Now my heart races, sweating , found out my AIC was 6.8 Last year , my husband also was 6.7 That Dr didn't bother to warn us . Now my husband at 60 his A1C - Was 8.9 Dec 30, 2023 We started KETO THAT DAY . AN WE ARE PREPPERS - SO ALL THE RICE, FLOUR, BEANS WILL GO TO A FAMILY THAT NEEDS FOOD . Beef liver fried in butter, dark meat chicken WITH skin, smoked herring, cream cheese for stuffing celery or pepper slices, blue cheese, keto mayo and sour cream to make the best blue cheese dressing for salad. Eggs, heavy cream, vanilla, erythritol to make baked custard that tastes like Grandma's. Pecans and walnuts! So many great foods I thought were off limits but have helped my husband and me get healthy, instead.

Thank you Dr. Berry! Me and my husband eat a simplified way of Keto just like you described. Simple meats, a little veg, lots of good fats and cheese. We stay away from the abundant recipes that are constantly posted as substitutes for foods we once ate. The whole idea behind Keto is to abandon the old carb way of eating. I’m mostly carnivore. I have bacon for lunch, eat a steak for dinner and be totally satisfied doing that. Next day I will have ham for lunch and chicken for dinner. I’ve lost over 30lbs and my husband has lost 50.

The trick with cabbage, doctor, is to cook it with beef. My wife has this amazing stuffed cabbage roll recipe where she grades fresh cauliflower and mixes it with ground beef, fresh herbs, and spices. That is used to stuff the cabbage leaves into rolls. It so delicious and you get to enjoy you veggies too! I cannot eat cabbage or cauliflower without incorporating beef with them somehow.

From my childhood: Throw the hamburger into the fryin' pan. If it's fatty, cook it to get it brown and maybe a little crunchy if you like that. If it's too lean, you'll need to add some fat/oil to make it taste right. After the meat is the way you like it, add the cabbage sliced into strips, add salt, and a little water, put a lid on it on low heat until the cabbage is steamed, and yummy to your tummy!

A favorite Keto meal, which I treated myself to this evening - slice a filet mignon into medallions, season with kosher salt and pepper and lightly fry in butter with a dash of olive oil. When the meat is almost done, toss in a few freshly sliced baby bella mushrooms. My side dish is steamed broccoli, with butter, garlic and a bit of grated pecorino romano cheese sprinkled on top. jmehickstx A punnet is a small box or square basket (usually hard clear plastic) for the gathering, transport and sale of fruit typically for small berries susceptible to bruising, spoiling and squashing that are therefore best kept in small rigid containers. That’s what we call them in New Zealand, although right down in the south of the South Island, they’re often called ‘chips’. 😊🇳🇿

Trader Joeʻs has a fantastic totally sugar-free (sweetener-free) chocolate thatʻs 100% dark chocolate -- Montezuma Chocolate, made in England. And itʻs cheap! Something like $2.69 a bar. Find it right up front next to the cash registers (where I live).

I had been craving pot roast, but I currently don't have a kitchen...just a few small appliances. I found some stew meat at the store and browned the outside of the pieces in butter, then dumped it all into a mini crock pot and let it cook for several hours until it fell apart. No veggies, but a bit of onion flakes, garlic powder, salt and pepper. So delicious.

You should use your blueberries to make some pemmican! When I was a child, my Mom would occasionally cook up a big pan of chicken hearts for us kids as a treat. Her idea of snacks were cinnamon sticks or cloves, which we loved. I didn’t know until I recently started researching keto that my Mom probably raised us on a primarily keto diet.

Fairly new subscriber here and new to keto. All of your videos have been very helpful for me! I liked this list of favorite foods. I checked into the ingredients of the Fat Snax cookies and was so happy to see that they're gluten free and don't contain things like chicory root. In addition to gluten sensitivity, I have a lot of other digestive issues and added fibers like that cause me a lot of discomfort. I plan to keep these in mind for down the road in my journey. Thanks again for all the great videos!
