Kendrick dropped on April 30th which is the Day of the Child. And then he titled the song Euphoria alluding to Drake being a producer on the TV show that heavily depicts teen sexualization. This is Kendrick saying Drake likes children (teenagers) and then he later calls Drake a child not knowing how to act like a man. Theres layers and levels to this shit

Kendrick whisperer here 🙋🏾♂️ It’s not just about being biracial and having a white mom - J.Cole has the same DNA ~ it’s about Drake being born and raised in CANADA 🇨🇦. He doesn’t have the same heritage experience as those of us who are Black Americans. Nigga is OUR word. It’s a cultural respect thing. I’m sure some will say “Drake’s father is a Black American.” But Drake has referenced in several songs his father wasn’t in his life like that. He only spent like a summer in Memphis with him or something like that. Therefore, when it’s relevant for him to play Black American kayfabe - he does, and thus uses the N word to double down on his downness with Black American culture. And as Kendrick says…. It’s cringy and a very critical type of appropriation. ALL BLACK PEOPLE IN THE U.S. CANNOT SAY NIGGA. It’s deeper than many realize. It use to be a topic of debate early in Drake’s career but I suppose listeners have gotten desensitized to it and interviewers stopped bring it up. The truth is, Drake is NOT a BLACK American 🇺🇸, his father is. Drake is Canadian and should stick to using Canadian slang, which is why Kendrick hit him with the Canadian slang in the record, like, “This is what you should be sounding like in your songs. Stop saying nigga, that’s not yours to say - you can’t just claim it BECAUSE who your father is.” Imagine a biracial Black American + Japanese rapper born and raised in Japan saying “nigga” in their songs and tell me that wouldn’t be cringy 🧐

When he's talking about that cease and desist. It's more important to note that this mainly had to do with Ye dropping a remix on the song like that, where he's going and making fun of Drake as well. Given how Ye's back in the spotlight now, and making even better numbers than drake with his recent stuff. It makes sense for Drake to have such an overreaction and have Like that taken ddown. Because if you tried to listen to that remix on youtube, it would say the content is blocked throughout the country.

Thought this was pretty well done, I fished the comments and peeped some of the criticisms so I'll say this: the audio was fine for me, I could hear you well enough, I didn't hear any wild, crazy, loud, noises, no crazy volume imbalances (Disclosure: I'm listening to it with one headphone halfway on my head) and that you hit on about 70-80% of your points with accuracy. Nobody will get it all right, people will miss things and not decipher every little piece and double, triple, quadruple entendre that was laid out here ESPECIALLY within 24 hours of hearing it for the first time unless they know these 2 dudes personally and intimantly. Most of these people have watched 30 other reaction and breakdown videos + scoured the comment section to get the information they've attempted to correct you on and now pretending to be know it alls. Like it you kept it short sweet and efficient while still hitting A LOT of the key points most casuals or those who haven't been following intently may have missed. Keep up the good work and use the critiques to better improve going forward I guess.
