And a certain fanbase REALLY TRIED to play this man like he couldn’t make hits if he wanted to 😂😂😂 You can tell it comes so easy to him. He just doesn’t usually prioritize trying to make a “banger” song over making songs with actual substance and depth. This album is clearly his way of showing the world, “don’t get it twisted.” He’s obviously trying to prove a point here. Let this be a lesson: Just because you choose not to do something, doesn’t mean you can’t.

Thought I was the only one who noticed! "Man at the Garden" beat sounds like a toned-down version of Nas' "One Mic" 🔥. Kendrick's creativity is unmatched. He and his engineers really understand each other on another level. This track is one of the best on the album, right after "Gloria" and "Reincarnated"

Well done for being the first to spot the Nas sample. I listened for the first time while driving home from work and I got so emotional. The entire album is outstanding but this song is particularly 🔥. Love your work dude. ❤️

Knox I love the way you do your breakdowns and how knowledgeable you are. This song definitely gives a tranquil feel. Which you need with the rest of the tracks on the album.

I love this song and when he says he's crashing out right now, it almost feels like he put this project together in the last couple months because he was tired of hearing the talk around him.

2024 continues to surprise... I never thought we'd get a Kendrick 'One Mic' homage that was produced by Jack Antonoff. Jack was a producer on every song on GNX except 'Peekaboo.'

Anyone serious about mastering their craft absorbs and studies the masters and standards before them. Every Kendrick project proves that he did…He absorbed, learned, evolved, and exceeded, then found himself.

Man, it's crazy I haven't heard one mic in years, but as soon as the beat started, i immediately heard one mic. A great beat choice for Ken. It gave me goosebumps just like hearing one mic for the first time. 👏
