When it come to the genre topic Savon you had points but by the end you contradicted yourself a bit. You can’t say the song has certain elements of that genre so it makes sense to place it there but then say oh a whole genre that branched out and had evolution from its original origin can’t be, example the country to r&b connection. I do agree that those are two separate entities that should stand on their own but just because a song has characteristics of multiple genres doesn’t mean they can fit in the genre. Some songs can and some can’t like for example the song Heartbreaker by Mariah Carey is a pop/r&b song. It has the perfect blend of pop (sonically Ik any genre can be pop but pop has its own sound sonically) and r&b but when you ask r&b audiences they’ll say it’s a pop song…. Meanwhile her label at that time thought it was too urban and was r&b. It can fit in both genres but they’re song that don’t have a perfect blend like it either bends too far left or right and when it come to that million dollar baby song the rap aspect is not that strong in the song you might get a better chance putting the song in alternative or hell even r&b before you would in rap. I also don’t think the rap category needed his submission, we just had a legendary rap beef between two huge rappers of this decade I think it’s ok not to submit this song the category doesn’t need any help this year lol.
