I'm wondering ... here in the States, California often has wild fires and even in Florida, where I live, we have wild fires occasionally. With all the piles of sticks removed from the beaver dams, is there any concern in Lithuania that it might be a problem? Just wondering. Maybe you don't get violent lightening storms there, which often cause the wild fires here. Thank you. And by the way - LOVE your videos!!!

hello kenislovas. For those of us raised in arid regions, with no idea of beaver dam construction, please might you consider including in the title two data (1) your estimate of the time spent (hours) in removing the dam and (2) your estimate of the time (hours? days? weeks?) taken for the family of beavers to raise the dam? I think you must have some idea of (2) because you re-visit dam sites from time to time. It seems to me that if the times were equal it would be a losing game for you, and I suspect that even a 1:100 ratio would be a losing game for you - given that you have an automobile and can cover a great deal of territory along the coastal regions of the eastern end of The Baltic Sea. Thank you. Chris
@Kenislovas7 ай бұрын
Hi, Chris. Most of the times I spend near the dam about 1 hour. Sometimes 30 minutes and sometimes 2 hours. I am not sure if difference of minutes would be interesting :) About loosing game, I am not going to loose until I'll like to do it :)

On one hand I understand beaver dams can cause harm to farmland, meadows etc. Yet I’m conflicted because the dams are many times ecosystems that sustain much biodiversity. I would like to understand if the dam destruction is just to destroy all beaver dams, or if there is an actual ecological reason for breaking the dams apart. And don’t the beavers just rebuild?
