As a kenjaku fan, I think his character would definitely just be wasted potential if gege doesn't decides to give him a proper backstory and understanding to his character because there is a lot and I mean A LOT of things we don't know about kenjaku and his character like we didn't we get to see him from the heian period like we saw sukuna, yorozu and uraume but we didn't saw kenjaku out of all, and second we didn't even get to know more of his history throughout, we don't know more about his backstory as kaori with jin and about choso's mother and basically every culling games player who was reincarnated, I mean I love the concept of kenjaku's character and believe me I think kenjaku is the most interesting character in jjk but we still don't know shit about him we only know what he wants and plans on doing the merger but we don't know anything besides that and it's frustrating for me, right now currently kenjaku is my favorite antagonist in jjk but if gege does not try to expand on his character, understandings and backstory then I think that kenjaku woud just be a disappointing villain as a whole. Edit : also kenjaku's death was so bottom fiction writing maybe I would've preferred to see kenjaku die the same way as mahito met his end like kenjaku died from the merger he planned himself or he finally gets karma for his actions after 1000 years.

He put sukuna's lover in sukuna's vessel's sister I guess you could explain his bullshit plans with him learning how fate decides people since he's connected to the 6 eyes for some reason, so he just figured over a thousand years that "oh so if i'm in this city, the 6 eyes user will be born in an adjacent city. This means that if i track down one of the geto clan's members i can get the 6 eyes to meet them eventually", not only that but then they made a school for sorcerers? That made it even easier for kenjaku since then he just needs to make sure the 6 eyes user, which is connected to him, and the user of cursed spirit manipulation end up in the same school, then it's just a matter of time until they meet, which could be accelerated by him. The whole thing with tengen is absolute nonsense though. Maybe he was planning to take over tengen's body and force the merger and every character in the show is just a coincidence?
