Nu ved jeg ikke om EA gav fuld gas, men Vectronen var vist nok bagud i forhold til sin køreplan, og så kørte de uden passagerer. Komforten var ikke i højsædet ;)

In other films, one of which was about the departure of the EA class, I gained the impression that DSB was a rather backward-looking organisation, after all, who scraps electric locos in favour of diesel locos? But seeing those push-pull trains powered by a diesel loco, really made me sit up and take notice! Electric push-pull yes, but with a diesel loco instead?! And those remote-controlled shunters! Railways in Britain still have a long way to go. The politicians’ policies for DSB may have been a bit wayward, by modern standards, but the system itself was keeping going quite well! You’ve just gained a new subscriber, by the way! All the best from the Isle of Man.

Hei Peter, leif her. I think Kenny will answer you questions really better and with more right fakta, than I can give you. But with EA. I mean I have seen somewhere, that it is due to the spare economy. And it is not DSB that says diesel back in time, it was the governments of that times and some of the politicians to.. It was the same around trams in København back in 1965 and untill 1972, the politicians, some of them, voted for buses on diesel. Others are upgradering thire tram network and expanding, but the "foresighted burned them off and sold the rest cheaply to Alexandria. But rest assured that Kenny will answer you when he has time, he also has to steer the loko in betwenne ;))

As Leif said: The EA electric locomotives are being scrapped since it was too expensive to keep them running compared to buying new locomotives outright. They were designed in the 80ies, so their time was coming soon anyway. At some point, probably within a year, all push-pull trains will be pulled by the new Vectron locomotives. The ME diesels shown in this video are even older than the EA, dating back from 1981 onwards. Danish railways work, they are useful, but they are not visionary, unfortunately.
