Hi Nikole :) I've been wondering how our Kenndal bug is after her surgery. And of course have been wondering how you are doing also..... Oh my goodness.... A smelly cast, you are tough woman! Big time tough! LoL! So very happy to hear about Kenndals little friend, and yours too! With friends I also feel quality is much better than quanity!! Woohoo on the new roof, that's awesome! I can't wait to see the renovations when you are done with her room and all! So happy sweet Kenndal bug is now learning self soothing.... So very healthy for her and you both. Happy things are going so well for you with Karlos. He has a lot of redeeming he needs to do!! So I hope he is also helping you out around the house also! Are you listening to this Karlos? So then stop by and do a chore now and then like the lawn, take the trash out, or even help with the renovations!! One last thing Nikole....... Maybe sometime soon if you feel up to it, maybe make a little short video of Kenndal bug..... Maybe with her just sitting in her beanbag chair!!! That would be so awesome to see!! Then we could see her pretty little face!! But if you can't that's fine too I perfectly understand. So maybe think about! We miss seeing her!! Thanks so much for the update! I look for your videos everyday! Glad to hear you and Kenndal bug are both doing good. And she is recovering well and working on her self soothing at the same time! Win win! I’m a nurse, I can give you a hint about smelly anything’s. Before you change her, put Vicks under your nose. It helps you not have to smell yucky smells

As a child I self soothed with the silk tag and the silk of my doll her name was “dolly” regularly replaced with a replica. I’ve been sick since birth, 13 medical conditions, first surgery at 6hrs old a surgical g-tube due to other digestive deformities. I’m also a (high functioning) autistic but as a child I struggled to self soothe, as a late teen/young adult I would go into my baby box when I couldn’t calm down to get my dolly to rub her back of head (fav spot) on my lips to calm down. I put her away at 15. I’m still chronically ill/ disabled I regularly have major surgeries and have some sensory issues and have to bring my own blanket mainly kept around my shoulders for comfort. I wasn’t diagnosed with autism until recently (I’m 26) I was diagnosed when my 5yr old niece was diagnosed we got diagnosed at the same time because my niece is a carbon copy of me in how she acts and reacts to things especially with being calmed down . We believe my autism was missed because everyone was too busy with my body, I had 9 surgeries by 5yrs old. But the face blanket thing is good to remember.

So glad kenndal is doing well despite the cast! U inspire me girl! Take those hard moments 1 minute at a time if u have to and just keep doing what u are doing , u are obviously doing something right bc look how much kenndal is flourishing - that is bc of YOU!!! It's also not surprising u and karlos are putting kenndal first & helping each other during this , u two are good eggs!! I'd love to see a day in the life, morning or night with the cast ( but I also know u said it's hard to lift her and then setting camera up to might not be possible, only if its truly feasible for u to do one day!). You guys being home so much is why the house is a mess and that is okay!!!! If you weren’t home then you guys wouldn’t be making a mess….it is like a catch 22…lol. But don’t worry about messes!! Oh and when we got our new roof it made a huge difference for us.

I’m sorry you and Carlos split up. I’ve been married 45 years, marriage is work. Of course only you and Carlos know why things did not work out. If he was unfaithful, that’s another story. Have you thought about. counseling? You are a great mom. Maybe when she gets a little older you guys might get back together. We have had our days, everyone that is married does. No marriage is perfect, you were very young to get married and be a mom. Of course, that was your choice. Best of luck to all of you. Like I said before, if there is a smell that bothers you, put some Vicks under your nose. I’m a nurse, that is something we did a lot in the ER.
