That rock you saw - Mookaite or Mookarite: It's claimed the name "mookaite" comes from the Aboriginal word for "running water". The deposit is located on private land in Mooka Creek on Mooka Station. This area is located on the west side of the remote Kennedy Range National Park. This type of jasper has not been found anywhere else in the world.
