the Supers are capable of pushing heavies (jumbo jets like the 747)

A super tug does not hook a tow bar up to the nose gear like a traditional tug does. The super tugs actually clamp on to the nose gear and lift it up before moving the aircraft. They vary in capacity, but can generally tow heavier aircraft over longer distances at higher speeds than traditional tugs. They're expensive, but still cheaper than putting extra cycles on the aircraft's engines.

There is so many jokes about that airport callname. Its not hell for pilots, its nice airfield. There is also so much fun going on as I listen to its tower. But u dont get it unless u a a finn. Like they say:" se on moro" what means bye bye and sometimes they say something like see u soon, thay are flying regular flights so they will be back like in 2 hours... :P

To be sure, you'd have to ask AirFrance, because the Airlines normally choose their callsign themselves (needs to be approved to avoid confusion or insulting stuff, but nevertheless...). I GUESS, tho, that it might be to avoid the question on how to pronounce "France" - the english way (fraaahns) or the french way (frawnce). [Sidenote: If that seems odd to someone used to english being the language of aviation, one has to imagine a time long gone, when French was used in international communications much more then it is now (it's still considered 'the language of diplomatics' although most world politics is discussed in english today). Those were the times, first rules on air traffic were drafted...]

Some airlines use a phonetic version of their callsign to improve clarity on the radio and aid non native speakers where they have a large international network serving places where English (or indeed French) may not be the best. The UK airline Thomson's callsign was TOMSON as well as some languages don't handle silent h's well.
