I actually have wondered if this is partly why he died. He said he always had major nerves when Grohl asked him to sing. So he would do drugs to try and calm down. And he was clearly tired of that lifestyle feeding his drug use so he wanted to quit. But Grohl asked him for that last tour and to sing some, so he did drugs again and it finally killed him.

I have to keep coming back to these Kennedy center honors so I can cry and remember my teen year love affair with my Zeppelin. I'm so lucky to have seen them 3 times in the seventies and there's not too many of us left who can say this. Now, I cry from the shear joy of them. I remember when they were young, in their twenties and now, I feel like this cannot possibly be them now. Where is my Bonzo??? I shook your hand once John, do you remember that?? I do.
