The book 'The Dark Lord' by Peter Levenda does an excellent analysis of the Crowley-Grant-Lovecraft equation.

If one is a Thelemite or at least Thelema-leaning, then I feel that Kenneth Grant is the most essential source after Crowley himself because Grant retains the weird, high-strangeness aspect that seems absent from the views and practices of the average Thelemite. Thelema becomes pointless without some sense of then necessary, objective, cosmic scope to the Aeon of Horus and various figures and events surrounding them. Grant is a unique voice in the post-Crowley discourse showing that sense of something going on, in a manner that pays the due central sacredness to Liber AL Vel Legis but also gives comparative evaluation of figures like Frater Achad, Jack Parsons, Michael Bertiaux and Austin Spare. Beyond that Kenneth Grant in a relevant way shows a connection between both ancient and modern mythologies (such as ufology) in a manner that isn't just speculative but useful for the practical workings of a Thelemite. I'm sure Michael Staley knows very well himself but Grant's work really opens doors when you have one of his books open and some earlier references (like Crowley) at the same time. Sometimes it is that Crowley will help make better sense of Grant, other times it is that Grant will help make better sense of Crowley. These things are very pertinent for the modern day Thelemite I feel.

Yeah, it really feels as though we’re moving into a new era with this stuff. The rise of LHP and a renewed interest in Grant is a really clear indicator of that I feel.

Love hearing about Kenneth Grant and other ‘post-Crowley’ strands of Thelma. Such a weird and wonderful rabbit hole!

A friend told me Grant was once interviewed for a UK radio thing. I've literally no other info, putting this out there in case anyone reading knows what show or station it was on and what it involved

It was the BBC and we’ve been trying to get our hands on it.

This interview really helped me to figure out a few things I didn't catch onto before about the Typhonian current. Thank you for sharing it. I wish more people in the USA took an intrest in the history. Yes, I have been to several Gnostic Mass performances here, and that's exactly what they feel like, a pantomime. I never did feel the flow/vibe I wanted. Infact, it was opposite. The Masses I went to in Portland Oregon were very shoestring. The worst part is that the noise from the road came directly into the temple through 2 metal doors on the left. I couldn't hear much of what was said when trucks rolled by. The cakes and the hand out were lovely, but I didn't feel Mother Lilith or Father Satan. So I went home and worshiped privately. Currently I fellowship via the Unitarian Universalist. I learned more from them about doing my will then any OTO contact. I recommend checking it out for those in the States.

I've been to some amazing Gnostic masses, but yeah I HATE it when they don't bother to use a decent location, and the performants are doing it half-baked, just eliminates any sense of atmosphere etc.

Portland - The OTO that meets in the basement of a Lutheran church? I went there once for a Mass.

excellent interview; Grant is more interesing than Crowley, and Spare is a precursor to Bertiaux
