George Marler, a Yellowstone geyser expert, ordered this camera before staying the winter of 1951/52 at Old Faithful studying the geysers. I'm pleased to see the camera he used.

The Exakta Kine, which looks like this but is older (1930's) is considered the first SLR camera. A tiny piece of history.

@@kennethwajda Just like the English developed their own completely independent jet engine project at the same time as us Germans the Soviets came up with their own SLR, the "Sport", pretty much at the same time as the Kine Exakta. So in each cases both are more or less the first.
