Your review is good and genuine. I have bought two of them. They are powerful enough. Also, range is the maximum by far I have seen in a speaker. Loudness is more than creative iroar igo which was a Swiss army knife of Bluetooth speakers earlier. The only thing is that sometimes I feel the need for a sub woofer. It is good for casual listening only.

Different strokes for different folks. Some popular reviewers don’t like the sound signature but others do. Maybe the arguement lies on what sounds realistic and what sounds “balanced” or “relatively flat or linear” across the frequency range and what others are used to in the sound reproduction they usually hear from speakers. I find the Tribit Stormbox Pro to be more on the former since I find myself having a better visualization of the instruments and vocalist as they are audibly reproduced especially when playing some instrumental or “audiophile” tracks. The sound reproduction coming from the Tribit Stormbox Pro even with EQ off or flat and with or without XBass on, just allows me to feel and visualize the music, artist, band, instruments, etc. and not just hear it. It is simply exciting for me as others find dull.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree with it sounding rather flat (especially with XBass off) which I thought might sound 'meh' to some people. I myself prefer clarity in the upper end so that's why I prefer facing the sides to me when listening, but either way I can't say it's a bad speaker at all!

Not a fan of speakers (i like to keep my audio close and personal not disturbing others) So... Ahh... It's nice that it has some nice stereo separation, shame about the limited soundstage that happens by design and i really apreciate that the sound signature is balanced. Water resistant is important so you can use it near pools and stuff. Overall not something that peaks my interest, but nice review if anything =]

You should try the Motion+ and Motion Boom from Soundcore, i guess you know them, amazing clear and powerful sound and multipoint conection on the + and amazing deep bass on the Boom, both with custom EQ amazing battery life. The only con (for you xD) is that both are high volume speakers haha

Have you thought about adjusting the frequencies with an equalizer, or is it not for your brains? Any portable device needs to be adjusted, set the frequencies of the built-in speakers so that the sound is pleasant and acceptable to your ears! Or do you just talk but don't think? Don't buy this crap. It's overpriced and the sound is dull and empty. It's only advantage is that it can get very loud. Go buy a Sony instead, I returned the Stormbox on the very same day I got it.

@@namedkenn I bought the Sony SRS-XB33. It delivers much more at a lower price. I tried all possible listening positions but it simply doesn't work. You made a lot of valid points in your video regarding the bad volume control and the underwhelming bass. I don't understand why you still decide to recommend it? One can even buy a JBL Charge 3 for the same price and still have a lot more fun than with the Stormbox Pro. Anker SoundCore Motion+ also comes into mind.

I have been using the Tribit Stormbox Pro daily for more than 2 months. The lows and the highs do extend and improve after the drivers have been broken in for about 2 months of daily use at around 30% to 60% volume level for around an hour. It did sound thin and disappointing when I first got it especially on the bass reproduction and the highs that I had to have the speaker on side on orientation, especially on the left side, to get more details from the mids and highs and to avoid the nasal sound of some female voices. The speaker also sounded a bit grainy at around 70% volume level with some RnB or EDM tracks. The sound reproduction and quality, for me, is very good after the break-in period. It also sounds smoother and clearer even at around 80% volume level for around 2 hours continuous in an open space at the beach with the bass notes retained and sounding balanced together with the mids and highs. I am happy and satisfied with the Tribit Stormbox Pro and its sound quality.

@@serbianhero1389 those are not comparable speakers based on size cost and portability comes to mind and size. Personally I would pass on the two options you mentioned as well as the Charge 3 cause they are just to big. Also the speakers will open up and sound more full after time as do all speakers
