Kenny was the young one of the group and he still had a day job at the time ..we’d allow him to show up the second set and we ultimately got signed to epic records .. but yes everyone used to come to see us before Toni B was a big fan of Ours… thanks for the shout out…. The first time was at The House of Blues in LA we were both there to see Carl Thomas and I went upstairs and walked in the room and there you were. Then again in Atlanta and then downtown Cleveland at Take 5 Jazz club. You are a very HUMBLE PERSON and that's what makes you great. I'm glad that you don't compromise your music and your life. For You and Love Me Back are my favorite songs by you. You respect women in a world where there is no respect given even sometimes women to women. No apologies needed for who you are. Ha! I was a vocal major under G. Carlton Hines at TSU... (Google) who was from HBCU Bethune Cookman. I auditioned for him. He believed in me. He passed away and I lost the spark. Shout out to all the Vocal Majors like me and Tank.... that didn't know what the hell was going on when they got there....

Kenny has performed in Kenya. People love him here. Same thing with Tank. When y'all say you're doing a world tour and don't come to Africa, we often just think, It's sad! Coz we love RNB.

I loved this interview and the real talk being shared. I've been rocking his music since I deployed back in 1996, when my wife gave me his tape with the song that contained the lyrics "Alway remember I'll be here waiting, alone".
