🎯 hell the play he got hurt on was due to pocket panic. Watch the All 22 and it clearly shows his first read wasn’t there but CA III was wide open to his left and Najee was wide open to his right and both were walk-in TD’s. But he panicked and ran through the pocket and got creamed. His injury was self induced due to panicking instead of reading his options.

Kenny has had the same amount of chances as Rudolph. They both had one game without Matt Canada against the Bengals. Kenny threw 12 less yards than Rudolph, and 2 less TDs. That being said, 1 of Masons TDs was completely GP. If you look at the stats, they played pretty equal(besides the one insane catch where GP barely got his feet in, which should have been a better ball) Pretty sure Mason only had 3 completions over 10 air yards, with multiple missed deep balls that Kenny would have been crucified for.

What worries me about Kenny is that he looked mediocre even when Canada's playcalling DIDN'T suck as bad as it usually did. I've seen him miss or just flat-out not even see wide open receivers far too many times to chalk it all down to Canada being a peewee coordinator with an NFL job. He also shows zero chill in the pocket, and gets happy feet after just a second of scanning the field and not finding someone open. I want this kid to succeed. I want him to become the face of the franchise, because he seems like a swell guy. I'm just worried Pickett's struggles may have more to do with him simply not being a good QB, rather than being strictly a coaching issue.

He was from Pitt. Soon as Trubisky wasn’t getting it done, they put Kenny in. In hindsight, Mason should have started last year, but he definitely should have replace Kenny when he went down ... we saw what Mitch could do. People say, “its only one game,” but it should have been his 4th and 3rd start. Besides, if Kenny goes to Seattle, a tough place to play, and lays an egg, he’d be cooked.

I will say this if they start Pickett we lose, which is awful to say because I wanted only two names to be called on draft day 2022. Willis or Pickett and we got Kenny. Starting Kenny though right now, Mitch on his contract year do NOT resign him. You start Rudolph which is ironic because I always thought he was trash for the last 3 years. Rudolph is the only quarterback on the team who's trying to win. I've been saying all year give Mason a shot what's the worst that can happen. If the Steelers start Pickett against Seattle playoff hopes are over. Period! Maybe in the offseason this lights a fire under Kenny to improve in every aspect of the game and you reevaluate for 2024!

That is a ridiculous comment. How many QB's have the Browns drafted since returning in '99, 26? Quarterbacks are a roll 0f the dice, a gamble. Sure they can look great in college, run a pro offense, pass for 42 touchdowns in a season, and some succeed and others don't for whatever reason. They sure picked a good one in 04. Mason was drafted in the 3rd round as a backup. He was never drafted to take over for Ben when he retired. He was to be the next Landry Jones (Bens backup).. The only reason he got ANY STARTS, is because Ben went out for the 2019 season in week two. It didn't take long, five games and Rudy was benched for Duck Hodges. He cracks under pressure and throws picks.. The "Masonites" have brain fog and rose colored glasses. We will find out Sunday if Mason has it, because it is the hardest place to play in the NFL. The Steelers have won ONCE in Seattle, since 1976, when the came into existence..
