Wow! I remember this beautiful song when I was in high school falling in love with a crush in the early 80s. And now, I'm already an adult, the more I listen to this song, the more I realize the beauty and meaning of this song "Lady". The rhythm, melody,, is so fantastically arranged and written. It was a big hit in the Philippines 🇵🇭 for so many Filipino people and i know as well in the USA, Canada, Europe, and around the World. And, I still do listen to it, and sing it with passion up to now whenever I tune in FM radio as they play it on the airwaves. I sing it with passion because it becomes my favorite love song 🎵 and collection. Thank you for the genius of Lionel Richie (your voice is fantastic lyrics original), and to the charisma and lovely voice of Mr Kenny Rogers. God bless both of you. I know that Mr Rogers has passed away already (I'm glad Mr Rogers is a Christian and he is singing since now in Heaven) few years ago. But your legacy will be truly remember and will be sing forever. Did anyone notice the racial diversity of the musicians? It's funny how music and artistic creation tends to be more color blind. Side Note: When Aretha Franklin was probably doing some of her best work in the late 60's at the famous Muscle Shoals location, a large number of the studio musicians helping cultivate those funky songs where white.
