So, as a Police Officer working a midnight shift, I once responded to a deer inside a finished residential basement. The deer while grazing in someones backyard, fell into a window well. The deer kicked out the window glass and cut itself pretty badly. The deer was in a panic and was spraying blood all over this family's furniture and carpet and tearing the place up. The owner thought he was being burglarized. When I initally saw the broken glass, I too was also convinced there was an intruder! LOL. We had a hell of a time getting the damned thing out.

Kenny is Marty's lead guitar player. Kenny can melt your face in country, rock and blues. Marty and the boys always play some rock n roll in their shows and country and of course bluegrass which is where Marty comes from. He, as a very young guy, played in some great bluegrass bands. Marty is Kenny's boss and Kenny knows enough to let Marty shine bright lol. Truthfully both are great musicians. Oh there is a very talented woman who played for several years with Patty Loveless (and many others). She was the gal singing harmony with Patty on Never Leave Harlan Alive. She plays mandolin, fiddle, guitar, and I think trombone and sax and possibly piano??? Much sought after harmony singer. Her name is Carmella Ramsey and she is married to Kenny Vaughan. Just saying, you did not see the best of Vaughan in this video.

It was indeed an old record shop....the most famous record shop in the world. The Earnest Tubb Record Shop on Lower Broadway in Nashville TN. It was home to the Midnight Jamboree for many, many years. It followed the Grand Ol Opry on WSM 650 AM every weekend.

Kenny Vaughan was in Marty Stuart's band. They have been in the same band for years. I remember Hank III and his band singing on the Marty Stuart show, and often I'd see Kenny Vaughan there. I just recognized his as a guitar player. This was just before the Straight to Hell album came out around 2005. Hank would often wear one of his granddaddy's suits that Marty gave him from his display case. Seemed to fit him well too. Hank III was on many of Marty's shows sang both Hiram's tunes and his own. I liked them all. I liked this reaction song too. You guys always entertain us watchers.

I know Keith hates the stereotypical 50s sounds, I get board of it quickly myself, but this song "caught a hold of me" for some reason and I really enjoyed it! The groove was just infectious and I found myself having a hard time sitting still! That's unusual for me! I rarely find myself feeling like moving and grooving to a song (unless I'm in choir, then I can really get into a song). Fun song, great reaction, and sounds like a relatively good Bourbon!

Those were all members of Marty Stuart's band. Marty was letting his Guitarist take lead on this song. Marty was not just sitting in.

Not sure what game we should play, but how about "Who Wants To Be A Bourbonaire" Your question is: In this video, Keith and Dustin said the word "Bourbon" how many times combined A. 9 Times B. 16 Times C. 20 Times D. 27 Times I went back and watched and tallied it up so have Fun! I'll try and remember to come back and post the answer in the replies when they post their next video. If I forget remind me (if you care 😂).

Marty's playing was just so much cleaner than Vaughan's on the solos that even I, not a guitar player, could tell the difference between the two just listening to those.

Keith, if you remember when I bribed for Marty and Tommy Emmanuel you commented that the other guitar player was "no joke". That was Kenny Vaughn from Marty's band -The Fabulous Superlatives. Kenny also writes songs that he sings as well, so I thought I'd bribe so you could see one of his songs. You may not remember but I tend to choose songs that you say are not country. Kenny has much better songs than this. However, I wanted to be SURE I requested a country song. (This one even says country in the title) lol And now DUSTIN says this one's not really country. Calf rope - I give up! Seriously though, Great reaction and I love the deer story.

Kenny is a master of guitar and a member of Marty's fabulous superlatives. He roots are in jazz like many of the session of the past and is in demand. This is nowhere near he's best guitar work. The bends that Marty is doing are on the first B bender guitar that belonged to the late Clarence White (the birds).
