It feels like Kenny never plays a wrong note. Unique and traditional at the same time. Living, breathing music. He’s amazing. Great band too.

Absolutely love the vibe of this tune. Bond meets old west meets psychedelic blues rock.

Just discovered Kenny Vaughan totally by chance, literally a day ago. Was flipping through the channels, caught an end of Hal Ketchum's 'Past the Point of Rescue', never heard it before (maybe 'cause I'm not a big traditional country music fan...). That last 90 seconds of the performance included the riff/solo (hope those are the right terms) by Kenny Vaughan. I was blown away ❗Wow❗Kept rewinding to listen to it for entire hour. And then spent an entire day trying to figure out who that incredible guitarist was. It wasn't easy, but after spending literally hours pursuing all kinds of dead, stupid, non-productive links, I finally found him! So excited 😆 Now I am sending links of his music to all my family and friends music lovers. 🎉 I'm sooo happy I found Kenny Vaughan, what an incredible talent, what an awesome musician, I am a fan for life 👍 😻 🎶

It's been 9 months since your comment and I hope you have discovered, not only Kenny, but Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives (which he is a member of). Start with the, Way Out West album, and then go from there. I also highly recommend that you see them live if you get the chance, as they are simply the best band on the face of the earth right now.

I could listen to this kind of music all over and over. I love it. And they're all so good. Kenny of course is , well the tops. And when the keyboard player comes out wow, it's like "lighting bolts". Like where have I been 6 years. Well, in a ol folks home and haven't had access to the internet for 8 or 9 yrs.

Saw Kenny do this tune on a Gibson 125 I believe it was. This Tele version is so much more conductive to the song IMHO. Kenny is such a wonderful guitarist. So glad I became aware of him.

This version is the best IMO--keyboard really adds another dimension!

Kenny Vaughan is such a fine player. I remember it was some years ago when I happened to see him perform on Austin City Limits with Patty Loveless. He was a lot younger then and played a strat. I had never seen him before but my heart told me that this was no ordinary guitar player. You can learn so much about the guitar just watching him play.

The Strat neck pickup in his Tele idea came from Roy Buchanan, as well as Parsons/White String/B Bender Tele.

This guitar is more than likely not a “Fender Telecaster”. There is no decal on the headstock. It’s either a partscaster or a custom built boutique built especially for him. Lord knows he has access to just about any guitar he wants. Could be a Jeff Senn, Glaser, Danocaster, etc. Lots of T style builders out there. Long story short... for me it doesn’t matter. Sounded good to Kenny and I agree.
whether playin with the superlatives ,patty loveless, lucinda willams, or on his own kennys the consumet guitar master, Gibsons, strats ,teles, it doesn't matter he can pull the best tones out of all of them, And his lines and fills are so sweet it hurts, They don't much better than Kenny , such a pro...

Thank God we have the grammar police here on YT . I'm sure you have your work cut out for you. Many comments here so you surely have to find any errors they may have made & set them straight . Shows you can create a beautiful song without having to play like Malmsteen. I'd rather listen to Kenny anyway, especially with the Fabulous Superlatives!
@jackgriffith92292 жыл бұрын
Malmsteem is great for what he does!! I would prefer to play with taste and soul but not everyone is tasteful or soulful!! There are plenty of great people who are in fact great players who lack taste and soul !! Malmsteen being one of them!!!

Kenny...amazing technique and tone. And the bass player, Charles Scruggs, is just great too. Bonus points: He's the grandson of Earl Scruggs

it's a classic old Motown technique to make the bass more smooth and less bright. it's just a piece of foam close to the bridge
