Kenny is an excellent guitarist and the most important thing is that you feel that he likes what he does, he feels pleasure. No wonder he followed Marty Stewart for 20 years!

Well judging by a couple of interviews I've seen he is a prince.

Me too - I found him through the conversations Otis Gibbs puts up on KZbin. ...And then I realized I recognized him from playing behind Lucinda Williams.

I first saw Kenny Vaughan with Patty Loveless on Austin City Limits back in 1996? Just rediscovered him and with Marty Stuart and then his own group. Love his playing! Great musician and bandmate!

My God ! How good must that have been. Patty loveless sings like an angel. And Kenny plays like a demon. 😇👅😁

KV, a master musician and certified good guy. Marty Stuart knows the best when he hears it.

This reminds me of the Blues Brothers where the band has to play Rawhide instead of Soul Man to please the crowd.

It's hard to improve upon the original, but Kenny may have just pulled that off!

Was it the acoustics or the recording or was the drummer playing a completely different song? I love Kenny Vaughn.
@michaelmorris82105 жыл бұрын
I concur. What, exactly, is the drummer doing (and/or, why?)
@Pete-z6e4 жыл бұрын
human being , it’s the recording, of course.
@MrMd55552 жыл бұрын
He is a left handed drummer. Obviously that was a right handed kit so the snare, Tom's etc completely backwards
