Great classic country song title! Sounds like an amalgam of George Jones and Johnny Paycheck! This guy ROCKS!

Hello Kenny my dad recorded that song on capital in 1971 and Earl was the producer Kenny Edwards Stoney Edwards Son

Glad Stoney gets his due. His version is the definitive one. Next would be a tie between this Kenny Vernon cut and Wynn Stewart's. Hope somebody can post Stoney's "Two Dollar Toy" from his first Capitol L.P..
