I went and saw his show a couple weeks ago. He’s wasn’t lying. His live sound sounds pretty much dead on to recordings. And the singer Noah, really is such a great singer.

Yep. Something you dont see much these days. They sounded INCREDIBLE on Feb 12 when he played the kickoff date of his new tour in his hometown. It was INCREDIBLE. Unforgettable. Kenny was given the Keys to the City by Shreveports Mayor and by the Mayor of their sister city across the river. They also named Feb 12 as Kenny Wayne Shepherd Day in Shreveport from now on! You get that? KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD DAY! WOOHOOOOOO! I've followed Kenny since his first days playing clubs here in Shreveport all the way to him becoming one of the greatest blues rock guitarists of all time. It's been an epic journey. He deserves every bit of the recognition he received this past weekend.

I’ve been a fan of him since the 90’s, he’s come a long way. Nothings changed, he’s still one of the great blues rock musician in this era. He’s just getting better as he matured.

I helped set this up at Mayo Civic Center when he performed there. My jaw dropped when I found out those Fenders were actually $100K Dumbles. AND HE HAD THREE OF THEM! One's a spare and the guitar tech said even HE'S not allowed to work on those things.
@SimpleManGuitars19735 жыл бұрын
I saw him a few times back in the day and even got to meet him when I was a teenager and he was playing mostly just Twin Reverbs back then. When I met him at a Guitar Center signing I was in line with a guy that had drawn a little replica face of a Twin and had him put all his settings on there and literally when he looked at it he dramatically went straight to the volume knob and was like "TENNNNNN!!!" LOL! I still have a pic of my 18 year old self with him and I'm 37 now. It's hard to believe he's basically playing 3 Dumbles. I can't believe John Mayer hasn't done that too because they are both such huge SRV fans. Although I don't even know if Stevie ever took a Dumble on the road. Do you know that?

The dude knows his shit when it comes to great tone. I saw him front row at the Tabernacle in Atlanta on his first tour, he was using 3 fender twins, his old martha strat, and his pedalboard consisted of a wah pedal, a tube screamer, and a univibe. He was a monster player then, and he's only gotten better with age.
