It's impressive how much space Kenny gives Noah on this song, he's the title of the band and we all want to hear him shred but he doesn't encroach on the vocals, he leaves the space for Noah to shine and then drops in just what is needed. What a great bunch of performers.

I always thought this was one of the best songs ever, so well-written and played. But when my wife took her life it took on a whole new meaning. Those lyrics, "You turned and you ran, oh yeah. Lord, you slipped right from my hands" cut me straight though the heart. I'd play this in the car to and from work over and over again, day after day, singing it when I wasn't crying. I have tears on my face now, not just from grief but from how deep and meaningful the lyrics are, how beautiful the guitar is, how the song is wrapped so strongly with my life saying exactly what I want to say as though I had written it.

There's a lot about 2023 that makes you glad you survived the Real Blue period. ha. Noah is laid back and it lays me out. I've sung this to myself a couple thousand times in my car. The only song playing on repeat for months and wanted to record it jus for my own love of the song. Odd though, it took me a year with that album before BoB gained a corner of my brain. But then, ain't that the blues?

I totally agree. I saw him on the G3 tour with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai at the Fox Theater in Atlanta in the late 90's. He was maybe 20 years at the time. I'd not heard of him but out on the stage comes a scrawny kid with long blonde hair but he stole the show and held his own with Vai and Satriani. It was a fantastic show and I've been a fan since. He definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

I have taught the basics of guitar to my sons and paid for lessons so that they can be better players than I. My oldest, at 12 years old just recently heard me play this song and now he has asked me to play at his guitar recital along with him. I am so proud of my so for many reasons, his appreciation of music and love of family takes it to another level though

It took me until 2024 (May) to find this by chance in an auto-play list on KZbin Music. IT BLEW ME AWAY. EVERYTHING about this song: MEANING, GUITARS, VOCALS, and LEAD GUITAR...all of it is WAY COOL and I thank the Universe for players like these guys. I listen to it constantly and I an working on the Guitar Chords, effects and my vocals for my local band in Newport, Or.

I was very fortunate to see Kenny Wayne when he first came to Salt Lake City, I have to say back in 97'and still had his long hair. My God,, he and the band truly mezmorized the entire audience!!! That will forever endear me too his style of SHREDDING the guitar and leaving an unforgettable memory in all of us that were there. 🙏🙏🙏🎸🎸🎸
