that why he didnt go as far as Rakim. Back in a time when you sounded like someone else, meant you was a biter. You had to come with your own style and sound.

King sun has been tragically underrated for 30 years unfortunately at one point in his career he was going to sign with ice cubes label based on a song called wicked ice cube turn around and stole the whole concept got the Chile peppers involved and King son didn't get a penny off of 6 million units selling record which was a shame and it kind of broke him for a while mentally but he's a strong righteous brother peace to King sun

@ReturnoftheBrotha I have no doubt it was prevented in the club scene of New York but where that beat isn't even prevalent today in New York but is still Hugely House Music in Chicago 30 years later. Chicago it to a whole notha level and continue to grow it 3 decades later. No need to diss
@pohunta4 жыл бұрын
@ReturnoftheBrotha no one from Chicago ever denied that. Frankie Knuckles is that DJ. What's the use for the diss? If the sound was popular in New York then there would be no House Music. It would simply be Club. Rap wasn't Huge to us but Club Music was and we just put it on steroids and started our own movement.
@pohunta4 жыл бұрын
@ReturnoftheBrotha I must admit that just the lyrics "you can stay in the house but I'm going to the club." Just rubbed me wrong so 20 odd years ago. I saw it as a Diss to Chicago. After listening moments ago I really didn't hear a Diss. Damn was I that young 30 years ago? I guess I was.
