Criminally underrated MC! Lyrically his name should be mentioned with Kane and Ra!! Man, IMHO, as far as Hip Hop goes, that was the BEST time to be alive! I can't describe it but I can try. I'm 48 now, back then I was in my teens, I was there and remember the changing culture. I was there when people stopped wearing jheri curls (never had one, lol) and started sporting "cameos" and "high top fades". I was there when heads stopped wearing fat gold chains and four-finger rings and started wearing Afrikan medallions. That's like someone saying they remember the 60's when counter-culture changed from "greaser" to "hippies". The mid 80's to mid 90's I miss so much! Hip hop stopped being "innocent" and "fun" after Pac and Big were murdered...

jamie shannon Loved how you mentioned Melle Mel and The Message song. That was excellent. In an interview Professor X said it was that song that motivated him and PE to make conscious pro black music. I was not trying to insult you. And if you know more about Hip Hop than me, I have no problem with that at all. However, I am confident I know more than the average Hip Hop fan from my generation and the ones after. If you have wisdom you should not assume you know more than me because you and I don't even know each other. LOL
