Jeff Gordon is gonna be the one talking to the 4 HMS drivers who better to advise them on Payback to Ross Chastain then Jeff Gordon. Jeff Gordon was in the Era where drivers policed themselves. Obviously HMS is not out to injure or physically hurt Ross. There not gonna retaliate right away but it wiĺl come down the road.

Off subject here. Kenny I just gotta say I just can’t help myself but to watch. I feel like I know you and have for years. I was and still am a huge Dale fan way back to the wrangler days. I was at that amazing Talladega race. You know what I’m talking about. He couldn’t have done it without you buddy. I’m thankful for your humbleness and loyalty to that man. I was fortunate enough to meet you in passing by a couple of times back in the early and late 90’s. You have an amazing light buddy. Keep letting it shine! Great show

When all's been said and done , Ross has been instramental in peaking interest in watching Nascar to see what will happen in the next race , and all the next races . My personal enjoyment , sadistic , I know , is when 1 and 11 get together and the 1 drives away unscathed and Denny is left to blubber like a baby and blames everyone and everything for his failure . Keep'em comin Herm .

Herman, Don’t let any person’s snarky remarks about your career in the sport bother you. You drove in over 900 races and competed among the best of the best. The number of wins don’t accurately reflect the success of a driver. It’s a discussion I have to have with people online often especially concerning Dale Jr’s career and I have to give them his entire career stats. The Wallace family….You, Rusty and Mike were all integral to the History of NASCAR. Let’s also not forget your work in front of the camera for many years. Your personality, knowledge of the sport and it’s history made you a fan favorite. Frankly, You are a natural in front of the camera. So again, Ignore those who are negative about your career in the sport…..Unlike those who like to run their mouth, You actually have a career in the sport. I love you Kenny!!

It's to Hendrick's advantage to build and sell more engine, as it spreads out the costs for R&D as well as purchase power for building, much of that based on performance not only for their in-house cars, but especially any satellite alliance associated teams. You are absolutely correct Kenny. When the bosses know your name, it better be for something good. Chevrolet will step in as did Toyota when drivers stopped helping other Toyotas because of friendships and off track loyalties. Some drivers know that already. This is one of those situations where I really wish Trackhouse had a veteran driver on the roster that Ross (and Daniel too) could lean on for some advice. Being that it's a newer team with two younger drivers, everybody feels like they've got something to prove to the world. I don't know if there's anybody left in the garage that Ross hasn't pissed off yet that might have a talk with him about some of the finer points of racing and how to finesse certain situations. Raw speed and raw talent are only going to take them so far. Both Trackhouse drivers have the raw talent to be Cup champions at some point, but they really need to polish their performances a bit if they ever expect that to happen. I do think that private conversations are likely to have far more impact than all of the public criticism in the long run.

But Ernie was in a stretch of really bad wrecks he caused that was like a gambler or an athlete that gets on a string of bad luck and their head gets all messed up - where today we have sports psychologists to work on that. Even Bill Elliot, Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer in the booth commented after the fact, who didn’t think that crash 💥 wasn’t gonna happen. Interesting point about the ECR arrangement. But back to the racing, IMO that’s the way Ross and Kyle had been racing all day. Kyle knew how Ross was gonna race him. Everybody knows by now how he races and can race Ross that way. His choice. I agree, he’s good for NASCAR and is a nice guy and exciting racer. But, his style will come back to bite him in the playoffs. 🫡

I think the social disruption and off-track shenanigans are the only thing keeping the Series alive. Like Pro Wrestling, the sport has taken a backseat to the name-calling and backstage conflicts that is social media. People have become professional spectators and that’s okay, but it sure trivializes what used to be a pretty pure sport.

The drivers just get mad cuz they got turned around cuz they wanna hold their speed around the turn and let off the gas that’s not racing.

@@garyjackson3531 NASCAR has had a bunch of drivers like Ross Crashtain, none of them are Champions...lol Crashtain has only won at Talladega and wrecked his way to a win on a road course and you're trying to compare him with a 7× Champion? Kyle Larson did pretty good in that Chip Ganassi #42 but that wasn't a competitive car?

Well damn….. I’ve never been a fan of this type racing. I do enjoy the stories and history. After hearing this I’ve got to keep an eye on things. Chastain sure has gave the sport something to talk about. It’s hard ti refute the bit of wisdom laid out here. He’s got our attention. Now go race and win.

People tend to forget how nasty jimmy johnson was, he wrecked Dale jr many times to win, look what he did to Jeff Gordon to win.Denny Hamlin wrecked Danica soo many times, tony had to talk to him, people in glass houses should not throw rocks, Rick H. Is a hippo Crete, his drivers have many people.Ross chastain is a great driver.we sponsored him in Michigan when he drove for niece racing, truly a nice guy, one other thing, Noah gragsen has no respect for anyone he hit David Starr and then blamed David, even David’s race owner publicly criticized Noah, I am glad Ross stood his ground and smacked Noah

I hope they start building their own motors. It would be a joke if RH doesn't give them the best just because he is racing hard. If this became true, NASCAR has some serious problems to face in the future. However, Ross will continue to look at the others from the top of the standings. It's disappointing to think that there might be a conspiracy or someone is creating one. Ross finished 5th and 2nd before this weekend, that's a far fetch from wrecking every weekend and finishing 30th

Chastain could definitely benefit by looking back at the battles that drivers like Dale Earnhardt Sr, DW, Rusty, Cousin Carl, Brad Kes, and Kyle Busch among others have had with each other. When he learns a little more about patience and respect I think his wins will come more frequently. Rick and Jeff aren't just mad about Chastain's decision making. Dare I say they know more about his talent level than most people think. Great point about the HP in the engines. Is it possible this is another reason why Rick and Jeff seem to agree that Ross is talented but maybe just makes dumb decisions a little too frequently? Ross just needs to relax and protect his car long enough to settle more battles in the last 30 laps instead of ruffling feathers throughout a race. I get apologizing for mistakes. But he shouldn't have to apologize for his competitive fire in the closing laps of any race.

Dale Sr used to drive right through people to win! The only difference between Sr and Ross, is Sr never apologized! I find it interesting that when Larson crashed John Hunter to win the Xfinity race Saturday, it was "just good hard racing," but when Ross and Larson were banging on each other for the win Sunday, all of a sudden "good hard racing" is now a bad thing!

I agree with you on about everything you said,,, except Ross didn’t say he was Earnhardt Sr. That’s the media saying that . There was a lot scenarios yesterday with other drivers doing the same thing Ross did where they slid up track into other cars. Larson has done the same thing. I AM A BIG FAN OF ROSS And LARSON DRIVEING SKILLS AND DESIRE TO WIN RACES. !!!
