they may called it street karate because it adress the reality that in the street you may end up fighting more than one assailant. i said assailant to mean your defending yourself.incapacipate him fast then run away to the authorities or somewhere else you feel will give you more safety. black guy hitting a white or tourist hitting a local .cannot just easily give your trust these days

Every reaction here shows me that none of you know anything about it . These techniques are being showed and practiced in a perfect situation duhh...in real life things would be different offcourse .i can go on and on about it but ill spare u the lecture..

So true, it's called the ideal phase ! I've gotten tired of trying to explain it to people that don't realize what they're seeing or talking about, I have run out of time and crayons doing so ! Have a great day brother take care !

part of training is to be hit

If you can't take a hit...your tools are pointless Like a boxer that never throw fists with one another. That being the biggest issue with most dojos/schools. They learn a style yet never hit one another...always pulling punches which cause bad habits. They have an answer or a plan for every "possible" technique except the one the connects Mike Tyson said it best “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth"

So this is street-karate? It's nonsens, funny to watch though.
@benbarnis4492 жыл бұрын
in actual fight your assailant will not easily go down in one strike specially when the guy is high on drugs.you need multiple hits

NOBODY IN THIS CENTURY ATTACKS LIKE THAT, NOBODY IN THIS CENTURY WILL DEFEND LIKE THAT. IF I WATCHED YOU TRULY FIGHT YOU WOULD NOT USE ANY OF THIS STUFF. THIS IS FOR THE DOJO, NEVER THE STREET. SO WHY TEACH IT??

Really ? Wow , I had to use a variation of this technique in a parking lot of a bar not long ago,...it worked !? How did that happen !? Oh yeah , practice and luck....

@@daneck100 Ive trained epak for 12 years. I had a chance to use it once but not quite, the group of guys walked away. My teacher had used it quite a few times. I think once in a drive thru lol. people who talk this nonsense never trained in any martial art they go and bad mouth different arts. I would never talk down about any martial art as I understand it really doesnt matter, you need a foundation then from there, whatever floats your boat, but you got to practice it.
@johnweidkunas22013 жыл бұрын
I've train in shotokan for many years. You want to be standing and the attacker on the ground. Classical technique is to sweep and strike as he is falling down there by ending the confrontation. No matter the style, strikes are deadly! Believe me MMA shit is not for a street fight. On the ground is terrible if others are around, could get stabbed. As with kempo trained strikes come so fast muscle memory reacts in such a way that even the practitioner striking will not see it. Just happens. LT could kill a man as why most martial artists will never fight unless provoked to the point life danger! If that was real the practitioner will adjust to the attacker's reaction and position. It's a training exercise dumb shits! Shotokan stylists do fight out of gedan barai! Go train before you complain.

There is absolutely nothing realistic about this. The puncher is out of range, and has no real intention or Target. Ridiculous

You must have trained with some wannabe mama faluke. Frank Trejo in the eighties took down 9 cops. You don't know $#it about Ed Parker so STFU. Go challenge Larry Tatum's students the will tear you new hole Butty

@@AventusEntertainment Sure. I'll fight them. Set it up with Larry, if you know him. I studied Kenpo for more than a decade until I realised outside of a few good strikes and some basic self-defense moves, it is garbage.

YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST ABANDONED KENPO, AND FOUND ANOTHER TEACHER AND ART, THIS STUFF IS FROM THE 18TH CENTURY, WHEN ATTACKERS WERE SLOW AND WORE BODY ARMOR. YOU MUST STILL DEVELOP THIS ART, TO MAKE IT REAL. YOU HAVE SPEED IN YOUR HANDS THAT IS GOOD. BUT THE BLOCKS ARE TOO SLOW. YOUR PRINCIPLES ARE TOO SLOW AND ONLY DEFENSIVE. HOWEVER, WITH FEW ADJUSTMENTS, YOU COULD BECOME TRULY AWESOME BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXCEPTIONAL SPEED. YOU GUYS DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANGLES, AND STRUCTURE.
