@@michaellamachia2523 No problem! To answer your question, any abilities that require colored Mana on a commander count towards their color identity. Therefore, Kenrith allows for a 5 color deck. Does that help or did I misunderstand the question?

@@BananaNationTV I also threw in Kess, and other spell return, so that I can cast them multiple times. Nothing better then dropping an Illusion of choice and Expropriate to take 8 turns in a row. At that point you can just pump Kenrith with +1 counters, and win via commander damage.

You should run composite golem in this deck, if you have biomancer’s assistant or hearthstone out, than it can create infinite man with kenrith and make your opponents draw their whole deck, and it’s only ~30 cents

Couple things that you should have added that I put in my list. 1.sharktocrap it’s creature that whenever a +1 counter is put on it it taps a creature and it Dosent untap during its controllers untap step just a good way too lock down some scary creatures for 2 mana. Also I really love doing the mazes end wincon it’s cheap and since you need the fixing it helps to have mazes end as a tutor for the land you need.

Sweet! Now, while the price of all the cards skyrocketed since you built the deck, I was able to swap in some cards for... similar-ish effects that I had from drafting previous sets. Some board sweepers, Happily Ever After (Which I'm determined to make work!), Scheming Symmetry, Wishclaw Talisman, and a card that I think will do a fair amount of work -- Agent of Treachery.

Happily ever after absolutely works. Agent of Treachery is the opposite of group hug you have lots of options for getting cards that are less offensive and for less mana. If you have been drafting recently you may have a Sphinx of the Guildpact or Planewide Celebration. Both work well especially the pick 4 sorcery and most people don't know 2/2 token you are getting fills all 5 colors to live happily ever after.

You can replace any of the creatures with priest of gix, then you go infinite with it, biomancer’s familiar, kenrith, and altar of dementia. It shouldn’t be too hard a combo to find with all of the tutors

If you're making a five color deck on a budget, you may want to consider running Krosan Verge, Prairie Stream and Murmuring Bosk. Since Krosan Verge can actually tutor the latter two, it becomes a land the just straight up fixes all of your colors. You can expand upon that by running Grasslands as well.

Good deck, but I'm surprised you didn't mention Eternal Witness. WIth that and Altar of Dementia on the board, you can mill yourself by sacrificing the Witness on the Altar, bring her back with Kenrith and grab any useful non-creature cards that got milled, and keep doing that until you've got all the win conditions you need. It's an amazing combo for this deck.

Mitch, there is a great politics card that I think you are overlooking. It's scheming symmetry. For one mana you and someone else at the table can tutor for a card and put it on top of your decks.

Never found Ghirapur Orrery to be that useful while playing, and Altar of Dementia didn't help much either with its milling. I replaced the Altar with a Phyrexian Altar (the mana of the sacrificed creatures can then be spent on Kenrith's abilities) and replaced Ghirapur with Chromatic Lantern, because then I don't have to watch out for accidentally tapping the wrong lands and locking myself out of a different play path. Also, played a game earlier today where I was 100% dead the next turn. It was a 3 player Commander game, I was on 7 life, and had 14 mana open for my turn. I cast Defiant Bloodlord into Resolute Archangel, and proceeded to do a 66 life swing that killed my final opponent. Felt preeeeetty good.

I actually think Spotlight should stay in the deck over the reasonable upgrade of greaves. The ability to target hexproof creatures gets you around a key mechanic often in commander. While I agree greaves would make the deck better as an upgrade I would sooner swap something else out (maybe Luxa? I’d need to play test to be sure)

Just make sure it's not targeted removal. Lich's Mastery has hexproof. I made that mistake the first time someone played it against me but they never corrected me and just left the game :(

Hello! So I was thinking about adding in 3 cards based on what I see from the deck and how it performed on Command Zone. 1. Seedborn Muse 2. Vorinclex 3. Bribery I wasn’t sure if these fit the focused build but I did see how they could fit in the deck. Seedborn untaps lands so I can do more with King Kenny. Vorinclex slows down my opponents while doubling my manna letting me do more shenanigans with Kenny. Last the deck seem to have a theme of taking others stuff so Bribery seemed to fit as well. Last question, do you have a $100 deck tech for King Kenny? I would love to see what you would put in if you had a higher budget. Thank you.

Hey Mitch, I've been watching your videos for months now and I just wanted to say a few things related to your delivery. Most cards you pick feel like they get super-glossed over. I'd really like to hear more about why you chose specific cards, why you chose those particular strategies, and why you you're swapping things in the non-budget categories. Not just why they're good swap ins, but why you'd remove those cards specifically. Even if its just saying "we have enough of this particular thing, and this other thing fills another role way better" etc. The other thing is just that the way you move between cards gets VERY repetitive. "Next up we have," then "next up we have", then "and then we have" its like you've got one introductory phrase, only two "next" phrases, and one end phrase "finally". Personally if I wanted to hear just a list of the cards I'd never watch the video, I'd click the tapped out link or w/e. Some sites (like deckstats) offer the ability to create categories anyway. What I want in a video is more of a lite-primer and why the deck is fun or cool, maybe gush about the key synergies a bit.

I like the general concept but it doesn't seem like it would take much to abuse the +1/+1 mechanic a bit more especially since you have haste and trample. Like hey why not include a Heroes bane (25 cents) with your cost reducers you can double his +1 counters for 2 mana several times and blow out a player. Inspiring call (25 cents) let's you draw a card for each boosted creature you have and make them all indestructible at the same time. As a reasonable upgrade Incubation Druid (3 bucks) you get 3 of any color mana for a 2 drop by putting one +1 counter on him. The ramp is confusing like you are willing to pay 3 mana for 1 land but won't use like far wanderings to get 3 lands for 3 mana? Doesn't seem like its hard to get 7 cards in the discard in this deck. Also if you need all 5 colors of mana things like paradise druid (50 cents) become pretty good. Having all 5 colors gives you access to multicolor ramp plain green doesn't get like Trace of Abundance (25 cents). Also if you are using green ramp to pull out bonus lands one of the best budget ones now is Beanstalk Giant (25 cents) you get one land for 3 mana and then down the road you pull out a haste trample giant with power and toughness equal to your land count. Master Warcraft is just a great fun to come out of nowhere politically and end someone or wipe out two boards.

Great tech! I know you don't want these to drag, but could you maybe use the reasonable upgrades to touch briefly on why you're making those swaps? Like instead of just "We're putting in Seedborn Muse and taking out Bounty of the Luxa", you could say "Seedborn Muse gives us better ramp than Bounty of the Luxa". Sometimes it's pretty clear why you're making the swap, but it can be nice to have your insight.

I decided to make a Kenrith deck after realizing there are a ton of 'council' cards, curse cards, and a 'monarch' mechanic.
