My Kenrith build is called 'Kenrith: Enchanted Politics". There are enchantments, there are politics. the "hidden commander" is Zur. The gameplan is to ramp and tutor into Zur, start tutoring up and slinging out 'group hug' style enchantments. After a couple of players get knocked out then Zur pivots to bringing out things he is more known for (stax style stuff) as you start trying to win the game. It's just like a real politician - pretend to be nice so people will give you what you want, then stab them in the back!

@@adamthegathering Zur can be really fun to play, really scary to play against, and really strong 😈 My build is pretty good with a high win rate - you make friends until it's down to 1v1. But generally after playing the same people with it more than a couple games, i start getting targeted early 🤣

Flayer of the hatebound does the same as warstorm surge but is reccurable with kenrith but your list looks fun to play and not just turbo to a win im definitely going to use some of your ideas

Oh that's a great shout!! Only down side is that it's only triggering when they enter from the graveyard but that's still going to pop off. Glad you like the list! Definitely built not to turbo off

so you are aware at 9:18 you say you tap and store mana then untape with seedborne... you cant do this and effectively do double mana. untap steps are with your opponent and it is not a triggered ability it is a replacement

How do you go about getting cards signed? I also have a main deck that is foiled out and I would love to get as many of them signed as I can. However I live in Australia so my best chance would be to mail them off to somewhere in the US I think.

I've managed to get all mine signed at conventions but what you could do is message one of the guys that represent a lot of artists to arrange sending them off to be signed? I'd recommend reaching out to Donny Caltrider on Twitter!

Tried this deck at my LGS, and im surprised this particular build is just good for any table, its pretty consistent, not overly opressive on slower tables and can just flatout run higher tiered tables to a halt with politics or.... S P O R E F R O G E. Love it, only slight issue i find sometimes is keeping aggro off early if someone wants to hit your more than likely open board

I have too much PTSD from the two times I tried playing commander at the GPs, there was always a pod stomper that won by the third or fourth round around the table.

That's so frustrating! It's so important to have a conversation beforehand and agree on power level. I think this is what makes precons so good, if everyone plays a precon it helps to keep the table balanced

I use Sarkhan’s unsealing instead of warstorm surge… I like to have that reanimate with the threat board wiping …

How come you use Warstorm Surge over Terror of the Peaks? One mana less and can be recurred with Kenerith Is it the second red pip?

The second red pip was a bit of a deciding factor but the main thing I found was that warstorm stuck around more often. People seem to prioritise creature removal over permanent removal so it's a slight advantage. But to be honest you can just run either, they're both great cards!

I run kenrith with 5 gorillion mana rocks and mana dorks, 4 activated ability cost reducers, then survival of the fittest and fiend artisan. Also most of my creatures are legendary so I have the contingency plan of getting jodah the unifier on the field, along with quite a few mana dorks that are legendary scaling with creature power. Toss in a chromatic orrery, omnath locus of all, and seedborn muse and most of the time my deck gets to a point where it's either kill me or I am going to resurrect your entire graveyard and use effects like willbreaker, memnarch, and insurrection to make you commit explode yourself.

This is my goal with either my Meren deck or Hod Eternal Oketra. Mainly GEO because its not your typical commander that you see across from you at tables. Plus i love white cards 😂😂 im prettt far aling with GEO though. A little less so for Meren. Great video. Also GEO is what im known for in my 2 small cities😂😂

I cannot put into words how much I liked both your video and deck. Can I ask for some suggestions to both downgrade the price and de power level? I would like to play it casually with my friends and I don't want to either become the final boss every game or either getting the deck banned. Thanks!

Hi! Thank you so much for the kind words, i'm so glad you like it. The quickest way to downgrade this specific deck is definitely to just go for the basic, non-foil versions of a lot of these cards. In terms of building a more relaxed and budget friendly version of Kenrith, I would suggest the following: make sure you have the cost reducers for Kenrith, make sure you have a couple of sac outlets, play plenty of big dumb creatures with enter the battle effects, use all of the cheaper multicolour lands, make sure you still have plenty of protection for Kenrith. All these things can be put together super cheap, you don't need the docksides, the shock lands, the pricey counterspells, etc. to still have a great time playing Kenrith. But my biggest bit of advice is just to play cards that YOU love, Kenrith can enable any playstyle and makes most cards work. So throw together a pile of stuff you love and see how it goes, it's good to see what works and what doesn't when you play the deck and swap cards out for other stuff as you go. @@francesc3048 Yeah the manabase is definitely the biggest factor towards to price tag. I think reducing the power level is actually pretty easy to do if you look to reduce the consistency of the deck. Right now the deck runs a lot of tutors and ways to ramp up mana (demonic tutor, seedborn muse, ragavan, etc.), if you were to take a lot of this out the deck will slow right down and seem less threatening in the early game. That being said, there will always be a certain amount of "oh no, the Kenrith deck is going to be strong" in any pod you play in.
