I've already pre-ordered mine. These look very nice and the features look great. I presently have an older Digitrax Chief system in storage while I am building my layout so these should be a great addition and simply consisting, and other controls.

Nice to see someone finally realized how bad consisting was and made a "fix" for it. That is one thing that I felt the DCC manufacturers had kinda given up on. Good job TCS!

Ill be getting one shipped. I enquired on the website and shipping was about $70. If purchased during the preorder stage. So worked out to be rrp price delivered anyway. So ill be doing that. If youre in Brisbane let me know perhaps we can combine shipping or something.

If I wanted to buy one of these throttles what do I actually need to make the whole thing work and what would you guys suggest I have a medium size layout I would also want to be able to run JMRI thanks ps can you program CVs with this throttle or just use the functions

One reviewer on You Tube said the UWT-50 would not work with his DR5000. The throttle would find the wifi signal but but there was no response. He found it to be a great throttle otherwise.

Ken, I couldn't help notice the the two Burlington locomotives on the left and right of your new throttle deplay. My question are those the Rivarossi U25C and U28C models that they made about five years ago? Those are more than excellent guality running units. I know they are very hard to find and very over priced right now. But they are super nice locomotives.

They are Korea Brass plastic models marketed by Train Control Systems (TCS). Yea I actually did pay for them, Not a freebie. They run fantastic and TCS put sound in them for me. I had another set that I installed TCS sound into and shot video of the process for a past What's Neat in Model Railroading segment at Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine's You Tube site 2 or 3 years ago. Google "What's Neat Index" to find it.

Does the UWT-50 work with an MRC prodigy wireless system or do I have to get an add on device to use it?

Does MRC prodigy use wifi? If you can use your cell phone and WiThrottle, then you'll be able to use the UWT-100 or UWT-50.

Dear Ken I love the show I don't get to watch as much as I once did, I don't know who else to contact about this but seeing how you have connections with Athearn maybe you can help. I recently acquired a Athearn bigboy aka the Humpty Dumpty project on my channel it was dropped and I'm using it to rebuild a HO Monogram big boy kit its coming along great but im in desperate need of the worm gear retainers/housing there are other parts that I can use for it but can be found from other brands not the rout I want to go but the worm gear housing is a must to make it work at the very least do you or anyone you know, have a set or can get me in touch with the great folks at Athearn,I've tried but no luck. Or if you know any other loco that uses the same worm housing? Thanks a million keep up the great work

I agree with comments about these products, but I have a different view as the owner of one of these. the UWT- 100 now requires a decoder upgrade. A kit ($29 + Postage + tec fees - no covered by warranty and at your own cost) to rectify an issue where the throttle wheel no longer functions properly without reason. TCS refuses to acknowledge this is a production failure and blames this on wear and tear, after a week of usage? My advice to anybody looking at these devices is to do research and only buy from reputable companies that have proven quality and reliable products. As per my UWT-100, it is now in my local landfill together with TCS's reputation.

These are far superior to any of the proprietary throttles offered by DCC manufacturers. If you don't want a ProtoThrottle, the UWT is the best throttle out there, bar none.
