I can see the benefit of LCC as a way not just utilizing electronics from different manufacturers as current DCC can do, LCC can be an easier way to run all kinds of railroading operations by having LCC run a fast clock for a modeling specific operation without the burden of using a throttle for all operation programming . The fast Clock using LLC commands will be more attractive to use to control all other layout electronics to the Modeler's choice and give more realistic operations with more ease and realism. I get it, John. Cutting edge.

Yes, TCS plans to release the Universal Wifi Throttle this summer. This wireless handheld throttle can communicate using the LCC protocol, WiThrottle protocol, or interface with LNWI from Digitrax. Essentially the throttle can run trains on any layout that is connected to WiFi with JMRI. It also works on any layout that is wired for LCC. Check tcsdcc.com/commandsystem for updates!

sorry but i did not understand what it is supposed to do different or more than DCC, is it just a change of communication protocols?

LCC picks up where DCC left off. It gives you control over all aspects of your layout that aren't the locomotive. This includes layout lighting, signals, turnout control, and so on. DCC can also work in conjunction with LCC.

I don't think LCC has much to offer. We have yet to see any real implementations and DCC with/or without Railcom etc., pretty much does the job already.
