Mac takes a seat at the bar and orders himself a drink. He scans the room as cold, bitter liquid cuts the dust from his throat, and his eyes settle on a woman in the corner. She carries a well-made katana on her hip and wears hand-sewn rags dyed brown, though whether from road dirt or dried blood Mac does not know. It's easy to recognize that her countenance is one born of hard living and constant travel; she doesn't even blink as their eyes meet. Mac walks over to her table and introduces himself. After some tense pleasantries and banter, she divulges to Mac that she's heard tales of a bandit lord rising to power in the West, on the edge of the Border Zone, calling himself the "Dust King". Mac wonders if this tip is easy cats, or if the "King's" reign is supreme.

The blue area you passed by is filled with gutters, it's kinda dangerous but there is a bounty there, No Face, who is worth like 15k and has some nice shooter gear. The only issue is that he is in a tiny island, and can shoot you before you reach him

There is also a way to "ally" with the beak things by repeatedly buying No Face out of slavery

Guts (the blue place) is a beautiful spot with the giant trees being iron resources. It’s also a great place to get eaten alive as many beak things nest there. There is not much of value there, BUT!! There is a big bounty character camping out alone along the smaller islands of it labeled “strange camp”. In my last Kenshi play session I actually had one of my best swordsmen go in there solo and kill off a nest of beak things and steal their eggs

In the blue area, which is the *Gut* , you can mine the trees to get iron. In one of my playtroughs i wanted to become the best arms and armor smith and flood the market, so i set up shop there. If you manage to create a base and overcome the Beaked Things its a great place. Unlimited meat, Unlimited hides and a natural protection from invaders in the form of those man eating horrors. It was hilarious when parties came to demand shit just to get swarmed by the beasts.

You could try going to Mongrel and hunting fogman princes since you can take their heads and sell them. Taking on the weaker fogmen could also be some decent training

fucking so hyped for new kenshi, but if you're wondering why kotaro was struggling with the meitou weapon it's bc its way to heavy for him,, I believe for most heavier weapons the rule of thumb is that your strength stat should be at least double the weight of the blade you're trying to use

Neat things about the blue area, besides the bounty mentioned. It's green fertility with good resources and water, but as somebody mentioned it's full of Beak Things. With some exploits/mods, you can use the bounty target to get friendly with the gutter faction (beak things). So you can have a base protected all around by friendly beak things.

You know what Simo I recommend you go after Sand Ninja Oni next. The Sand Ninja should have a unique mask with Omo's armour of the world mod. And with weapons dissemination mod should have a meitou disguised khasskara (the weapon you just picked up) but this time it's classified as a katana not a polearm. Not to mention the Sandninja and her goons have pretty decent bounties, plus the loot in the tower should be pretty good. Lastly since it's right there next to Tengus vault you can hire additional mercs in the nearby town.

You wanted to know bout bounties? Heard tell the Dust King has set hi'self a little castle out east of the Hub across the river. There is a cool 30k cats for anyone willing to take him out and deliver him to UC, the Holy Nation or the Shek. Although not a true force to be feared for the well equipped, I'd advise caution, Dust bandits tend to travel in herds and even the weakest of opponents can overwhelm you with enough numbers.

I had a save file with like 200 characters and made a base in the blue area, a lot of sacrifices were made, 1st getting a building down to hide in and then again to get the walls up. It’s was ambitious but an awesome base, rip to the many limbs and lives lost 😂

The marketplace of Brink is a sad sight. Beggars line the streets, and gangs harass peddlers carrying meagre offerings, the smells in the air being greasy meat and garru droppings, as expected of a town half in ruins like Brink. Unfortuantely, Mac has to be there though, because jobs don't find themselves. There are rumors, sure: guesses as to where the Reavers are camped out, the movement of grass pirates, the occasional tall tale regarding grievewraiths come from Bast, stuff like that, but no particularly good bounties. As Mac is about to leave, frustrated, a farmer comes up to him. He's a wizened scorchlander with a scraggly beard, wearing a baggy red vest and halfpants. He looks frantic, like a man parched in the desert when he sees an oasis. "You're a merc, right? I need your help. To the east of here, in the hills of the Stormgap, there's a village. My son up and vanished while hunting near there. Heard that's where that preacher fellow on the wanted posters lives. If the preacher got him, I doubt he still lives, but if you could avenge him, I would be grateful."

I say they move towards the fog islands to hunt some fog walkers. There's a pseudo bounty on them, where the heads of their strongest members go for a large amount. They are also pests for anyone traveling through that area.

There are mods on the Steam workshop that add new bounties (some mods add new handmade ones, some just increase the amount of random people walking around with bounties on their heads), you could use some of those if you want even more bounties. As for next moves, the UC imo is the best place for bounty hunters (in my experience the UC is pretty liberal about issuing bounties on ppl), but if you're really dead set on moving somewhere else, the two best options in my opinion are the Border Zone and the Swamp. The Shek (and the Holy Nation, I think, but fuck those guys) offer bounties on Dust Bosses. Iirc, by default each Dust Boss spawns with a 1/3 chance of having a bounty on their head, usually somewhere between 1500-2500 cats, roughly. If the Border Zone is too "small fry" for you, the Swamp has much more dangerous shit in it, and is definitely the kind of place a bunch of rough, criminal types hide out. The Swamp is also close-ish to the Shek Kingdom and UC South, so there's multiple places for you to turn in bounties. As for the blue region, Gut, it's not a coincidence that beak things are also called *Gut*ters. I'd stay away from it until you're able to kill large numbers of them.

The blue area can also be a lucrative place if you want to make a quick buck off of Beak Thing eggs. They have nests all over the place and the eggs are 500c (don't quote me on that). If you have a quick runner witrh a good backpack it can get you quite rich quickly. And as an idea for what kind of bounties the boys want to do next; If they want to become powerful warriors, they could go after Shek kingdom bounties. It is known SHek are formidable warriors so their bounties must be tough right?

Since they are all human males, and an unscrupulous bunch they could head trhough the frontier, Okran's shield into the incel territory, the holy nation which is almost in the middle of the map, it would allow them to branch into the border zone and get some bounties like the band of bones or dust bandits and also into cannibal country to get some of their leaders with up to 40k cats on their heads. Another reasonable option would be the swamps, they could crack down on the gangs there and fence some illegal shit like narcotics on the way back.
