I still have memories as a kid going to Kensington Market on weekends with my parents to do some shopping for meats and fish. i remember when the parking lot first opened. It was a pretty big deal back then. Unfortunate to see it looking in rough shape now. Glad the rooftop still has that amazing view. I used to watch King Of Kensington. :) Thanks for the tour Sally.

I agree with you. Kensington Market is so cool. Here in Chicago we were lucky to have one of our own neighborhoods on the list. It’s called Logan Square and I used to live by it back in the eighties. Sally, keep up the great work!

I worked at Ontario Food Terminal in 1974 and in the summer we would deliver watermelons to one of the grocery stores there, about 300 hundred of them. I remember driving up that street in a big steak truck.

Hi Sally. I love the history of how the shops started. I have never been to visit Kensington Market sadly. The homes are colourful, reminds me of painted buildings in Bahamas. I do love all the beautiful creative art! think it’s time to visit snd see that view! 👍😊🇨🇦
