Nice shave Ken! From a fellow surf city resident that rain storm we had over the weekend was great! Had a scary movie on and it set the mood great haha. CK6 makes almost too good of lather for me, so thick! So I’ve learned to just take the tiniest of scoops and it works good for my liking.

Hi Ken. You inspired me to see a dermatologist. The doc sprayed a few things he saw and I had this rough patch on my hip the size of a quarter. He litterly took a double edge blade and sliced it off. Freaked me out. He just held a blade in his fingers and sliced. pretty deep too. Oh he did numb the area first. BTW, Great shave as always.

Hi Ken. It's probably off topic, but I watched your older video's on classic colognes and aftershaves and I thought that you should try (if you haven't tried so far) the Czech classic after shave called Alpa 378. In my opinion it is one of the best fragrances of the past. This brand has existed since 1913 and I think it is worth giving it a chance. Especially since, like me, you like a nostalgic journey into the past. Take care :)

That CK-6 formula is crazy rich/slick.. Love the stuff but you have to really watch how much you use, because you only need a very small amount for a great shave.. It just keeps taking water and lathering up seemingly endlessly!🤗

Nice shave Ken🪒🪒thanks for the burn(told ya)... This past Thursday I saw my Dermatologist and of course out came the syringe, razor blade and liquid nitrogen. Well I'm on the mend from being frozen but am waiting on test results, luckily just one spot. Capt. Choice used to make soap lockers years ago, really handy. Great soap and razor, quality shave and no issues..sweet. Stay healthy. Enjoy!

Here's a tip for shaving soap puck users - melt it down in the microwave or stovetop and pour it in your shave bowl. In a few minutes it will solidify and confirm to the bowl. No more sliding around!

I had a COVID scare earlier this year where I had all the symptoms. Got negative tests both times and eventually ended up determining it was the flu. Pyrrhic victory for sure.

Is there anyone else out there who is rather disappointed with the quality and machining of the Merkur 34C head? It just quite seem as good as the r89 by Muhle or even the King C Gillette.

Mine broke after about 8 months. They wouldn’t do anything about it either. I replaced it with the Rockwell 6C.

Yes. I dont even use my 34C anymore! Using Gillette Super Adjustable 84 exclusively now!

Thanks, it’s not that my 34C is bad at all, but the base plate doesn’t quite hold the blade with the precision I want and have to make sure it’s aligned properly. On the other hand with my R89, any blade just slots perfectly into position and is well held and the top cap just screws into position without a second look or thought.

The R89 is just a perfectly engineered and machined head and I wish my 34C was made to the same standard as I like the design.
