Demolition of the original Adelaide Aquatic Centre is now underway. The Entry and Change Room buildings are now gone, now the main structure and pools will be next. Can you please take footage of the progress until it's completely gone? ;-)

That's a good idea, but unfortunately the Aquatic Centre (North Parklands) is located in a recreational drone pilot no-fly zone.

How good does Adelaide look from over Payneham Rd?!

It's an excellent vantage point, which really shows how much the city has grown and developed in the last 5-10 years. There's a cluster of Adelaide's tallest buildings in the South-East corner of the CBD, framed against North Terrace and the vibrant Eastern Parklands in the foreground. Nearby Kent Town, as prominently featured in this particular drone video, is also rapidly growing with two high-rise buildings under construction that will accomodate a lot more residents in the near-future.

Hey mate! I was also looking to get some footage from the same areas around Adelaide (Kent Town & Parklands), just wondering if you needed to obtain any permission or a permit to fly in these areas? I've had a look on OpenSky and it appears to be in the green, but though I'd ask just incase. Cheers. :)

As long as you follow the usual CASA rules (keep the drone 30m away from people, don't fly at night, etc), then recreational flying is allowed in this area without a permit or license. It's a shame most of the CBD and Western suburbs are off-limits, due to the airport being so close, but there's plenty of other great areas in our metropolitan area to flex some droning muscle.
