Even though I’ve played this from your book already, it’s always good to watch you and hear your explanation and go over things again......And this particular tune is what my dad played when he was wooing my mother. He played stride 😀

This is a really cool coincidence: my teacher has had me working on basic stride technique for two months and it is pretty much like what you're showing here. Lately he gave me the choice between "Everything Happens to Me" and "All Of Me", and I picked the first one (I have to say that I've heard and digged Thelonious Monk for the very first time thanks to this tune). This video is a perfect complement as it is addressing "the other choice I had". I love the way you connect those bassline notes to add general movement to the left hand part, I'm definitely giving this a try! Thank you for this lesson.
