Been shooting Kentmere 400 & 100 on a cemetery project. I’ve put about 10 rolls through my FE2 so far, and I’ve been really pleased with the result. A lot of people could criticize it for being flat, but that’s exactly why I chose it. With film, It’s easier to add contrast in post than it is to recover shadow detail. It has allowed me a lot of flexibility with editing, and it’s pretty economical.

It sucks that KZbin has gone the add route on livestreams. Even those of us that pay for add free are screwed. Just shows once again that they don't care about us unless we're giving them more and more money. Hope you and Sarah have a very nice holiday season Hash.

Yeah I'm going to look into that! I need to learn how the new system works with "live" ads. Hope you have a good one too!

Nice one, I ve never shot kentmere but it does look really solid. Hard to tell the difference. Maybe if you like pushing the film a lot, HP5 is just ridiculous at that. But really overall it looks very good, I’ll definitely give it a try.

I used to avoid Kentmere because I thought it was to flat. Then I watched a video about shooting it at 1600, CHANGED MY LIFE! This film shines at 1600 if you haven't tried it,.you definitely should!

The main difference I found between hp5 and Kentmere 400 is the halation is worse on Kentmere 400. Not something I worry about 90% of the time.

Yeah I have heard there's a better anti-halation layer on HP5. Someone did a test here on KZbin, and there seemed to be a small difference.

Even if it's not technically the best, it's my favorite film. In Belgium it is sold at €5.9 compared to €9.9 for HP5 (36 poses)
