I couldn’t imagine anyone else to play Arisu. Kento has been in a lot of adaptations but he is so perfect as Arisu and Arisu really shows off his ability to act. I honestly hope that Alice in borderland would quality for award season cause that man needs an award for his performance.

As it should be because I think it's one of the best adaptations of a manga. It was respesctful to the sourcematerial and changes were made very carefully and to make it easier to watch and understand story.

@@idkanam3495 It's not easy to recommend because most of the Japanese live action shows are produced by the TV station system and only appeals to the Japanese. If you enjoy the puzzles in Alice in Borderland then I would recommend Liar Game, another manga adaptation. The acting there is a bit over the top though but the games themselves are very well designed.

Kento surprised the hell out of me. Definitely fell for the apathetic teenager act in episode 1. wondered if this protagonist would be underwhelming. Got to the end of episode three and ate every single one of my words. He is a wonderful actor and I adore Arisu.

Aww it breaks my heart when Kento said he's never really been to Shibuya much to know what it's like and the Shibuya set they made look so realistic he wants to see what the real Shibuya is like. It's true! Having been to Shibuya in real life myself before watching this drama made me feel how realistic the set was! Truly incredible with the amount of details they put in making it look as close to the real Shibuya in real life as possible. However, Kento would probably not ever be able to go there without being recognized and having a mob of people surround him. 😂 There was a time when he went to Harajuku to the Takeshita-dori street that is very popular with his co-stars from Jojo Bizarre movie and fans went crazy when they recognized them. I guess that's the "freedom" you don't get when you're a famous actor...roaming leisurely in a busy hub like Harajuku and Shibuya without being noticed. Also, a Korean actor (friends with Yamapi) who once met Kento thought Kento looks a lot like Yamapi. I do kind of see the resemblance now in this video. He does look like a younger version of Yamapi in this interview...their eyes and nose look similar. Yamapi is also the actor who played Kyuma in Alice in Borderland season 2. Kind of odd how the two are in it together. I wonder if they too think they might look a bit alike when they saw each other in person? 😂I would like to see the behind of the scenes with them together. 😍

Running with a boom mic is so hard (I commend them) especially in a lower budget project than NF. I’ve done it before with a 5-6 person team and the DP decided to use a longboard to get the shot down an enormous slope. They were short on hands and I wanted to learn. I was going to the gym HARD at the time but running after them without getting my breathing in the mic was such a challenge. Also my favorite shoot.

Alice in Borderland is just another level...I really enjoyed the show and the story. The actors, CGI, producers, directors, makeup artists, editors... they were ALL AMAZING and i really hope this show gets the recognizion it deserves, not just in Japan but globally (like Squid Games!). While i was watching it, i always looked at the actors and just admired how they could make everything look real even when they only had a few props to work with since the rest was CGI. If you like thrillers, mistery and Japanese series and you're thinking of watching it, please give it a try.
