This is my first Thanksgiving without my loving husband of 54 years. He passed suddenly in June while helping me through my chemo. Be thankful for everyone you are blessed with in your life. So thankful for my daughters and grandsons. God is so good.

About four years ago, I stopped going to family homes for Thanksgiving. I enjoy spending it by myself as I grow older. So I always fix lamb and mashed potatoes with greens. Have a wonderful day🎉❤

Happy Thanksgiving! My mom was from Texas and prepared dressing from cornbread with celery, onions, sage and other spices. I have tried dressing or stuffing from a friend who grew up in Boston. She used different kinds of bread that she cut in squares and dried a few days before preparing. To me, it was soggy and not tasty but to be polite, I ate it anyway.

Habiba I feel the same way. I'm only having my 2 boys and their families and I AM STRESSED!!!, LOL, I cooked all day and still have a few things to cook tomorrow. And I still have to clean 3 bathrooms and clean my formal dining room, get out the dishes and glasses, and basically declutter my dining are. Ahhhh 😢

💁🏽‍♀️I decided years ago to NOT stress about the holidays. Whatever works is a blessing. Whatever doesn’t work is not the end of the world. Too much happening in the world we can’t control to stress about what we can control. Gratitude, peace & joy are what I strive for now a-days. I stopped watching the news everyday because it’s stressful! God will let me know what’s important. 😇 Happy Holidays!

I'm not Canadian but they celebrate harvest in October making similar foods for the celebration as the Americans except maybe mac n cheese. Most European countries celebrate harvest in a similar fashion with a big meal, church going to give thanks and parades😊

could you do a segment on how to cook Curry Goat love you all appreciate you and Kenton. I am doing Lamb Chops, Sweet Potato Pie, string beans and white potatoes, and BBQ chicken, and Yams. And I brought my brother over because my mom is spending time over my sister home, so I did not want to be along, so I bring my brother over and he help me cook, Bye !

Thanks giving has nothing to do with Plymouth Rock….It’s when the first settlers with the aide of the Native Americans that lived in that area taught the settlers how to grow food, hunt and survive so to celebrate their bountiful harvest they invited the Natives to partake and give thanks for their assistance.
