So glad I found your video tonight, I have been missing my dear friends from England who passed years ago but I can tell you for a Yank I can make the best cup of tea, roast beef with scones anyone ever had, your grilled cheese was just perfect and your little car camp was so much better than sleeping on the ground, breakfast looks fabulous as well. Funnily enough, I have a 2008 Smart and I used to go camping with a tiny two (one) man tent. Got tired of getting terrible cramps getting changed in the tent so I bought a Eurohike Rydal 500 this year. It is a bit big and there's now no way to have a passenger if you're taking everything with you (in fact the tent is best strapped into the passenger seat!), but yes, it turns out the tent is easily bigger than the car and with a slight change to the front you could just drive it straight in.

I noticed that you usually pitch your awnings flat and when it rains, you get drips and pooling near the shelter. If you pitch it sloped downward from the door, with one corner slightly lower than the other, you won't have any problems with drainage. Thanks for another great video. You're always fun. That car looks like it should have a key in the top of it! But very clever to show what you can do with a small space and a bit of thought. Maybe you could refine it a bit and then do a couple of short road trips to show people how versatile it could be and encourage people to get out and about on a budget. Someone mentioned those 3x3 gazebos - if you had one of those at a camp ground you could set up and then just drive in and out for day trips!

Andy, If you ever get stuck like that again let the tyre pressures down (driven wheels only) to around 5 psi. You won't believe what you can get out of if you do. An almost flat tyre gives a much bigger footprint and really improves grip. Just be sure you have a pump with you.

lol , we've had a smart in the family for about 10 years , i use it , wife uses it & both kids do , so handy for scooting around town / popping to the shop .. never thought of using it as a camper

I love my smart car! I'm currently driving my second, as I was rear ended on the interstate which totaled my first. All fine, all was well. I can't tell what kind of tires you have on it. If they are Continental Pro (Conti Pro), CHANGE THEM. Smarts don't handle as well wearing Conti Pro's. It'll make a big difference in your everyday driving. Great job!

This is great for showing people that you don't need an elaborate set up to get outside for even a night. If your seats even recline enough you can create a bed. After that, it's just water and fire.

Great video again. Loving the Smart car idea 😞 Just a word about Beer52 to cover your arse pal. If you want to opt out and cancel your subscription, you can't do it on the website. You have to ring up in person, which I personally think is a shoddy move. After numerous attempts and the phone never being answered on different days/weeks, I cancelled my Direct Debit. As soon as they had a failed payment attempt, they were quick to call me. I spoke to a nice bloke who agreed completely that they were too expensive, better value at Aldi etc. The " free "snacks are dreadful too. May be great for some people but not for me. My main point is to let you know that you're telling people that they can cancel at any time- but it's not that easy. Just a friendly warning so you don't get any backlash 👍 Keep up the great work.

Really fun idea. Would be cool to see more of this kind of camping with a micro car; like what kit you can get away with to be comfortable while maximising the use of space to bring stuff with you. I have a 2008 Smart and I struggle a bit, especially with a tent that's big enough to be comfortable (ie you can stand up in it).

Did you know when You spin out like that in a car that small its cuz your to light you can add wieght in some cases but did you know you can let some air out of ur tires make them soft and drive out?😊😊❤
