I have always loved Dwight! I'm a Lady Truckdriver and the road just wouldn't be the same without his cd's in my Truck, especially 1,000 miles from nowhere!! Love You Dwight!!! I also was a huge Buck Owens fan! We just had to see Hee-Haw every Saturday!!!

This former Michigan girl can relate to this song! Long story but my parents were from Floyd Co Ky, same as Dwight's mom and grandparents! Pike/Floyd holler (hollow for you city folks) which is only like 9 miles from where I live now. My dad moved to Michigan to find work while my mom was pregnant with me. He found construction work and started building bridges in Michigan. They bought a home in Romulus Mi. I was born in 1969. I remember traveling Rt 23 many of time until July 1980, my dad sold our house and moved us all back to him and my mom's old home place, Floyd Co., Ky. FYI. Rt 23 is not so much of a curvy road as Dwight explains it here. 4 lane pretty much now. I traveled it one time a couple years back coming home from Mi. But I sure do remember those curvy roads and getting carsick. Lol. Love Dwight Yoakam since guitars, Cadillacs and hillbilly music.
