Do you guys have any plans to send her over to VERY eastern Kentucky(pikeville, prestonsburg, paintsville, hazard, stuff around those places) to run some excursions? I live in less than an hour from each (live in pikeville), and we don’t really have much traffic if any at all down here. I bet it would help the tourism here. But if you don’t, eh, it’s ok. I can drive to louisville.

@@2idiotswithacamera194 I'm not sure. I wouldn't necessarily think so. I would imagine that since it hasn't run in so long it's probably not been maintained, and at least needs minor work to get it back into running condition. I bet if it's minor that repairing it would be the next thing that they do after 2716 so they can have two functioning steam locomotives. Then after that they could start on the Nickel Plate steam loco.

I have two questions. First, where are you going to run your locomotives? Will CSX give you trackage rights or is there a branch line that you will be operating on? Next, do you have any passanger cars for people and if you do are they going to be for first or second class and will you offer food on your trips?

Once the 2716 is done with its restoration it should do an excursion to Fostoria Ohio or Deshler Ohio.
